Now that I've registered a gun in Washington, I've realized how limiting it is for self defense since I can’t legally take it out of my home. Since the District does not recognize the constitutional right to bear arms, so residents are just sitting ducks on D.C. streets. Criminals know that they can rob, assault, rape or murder anyone without fear. D.C. politicians do everything in their power to keep people defenseless.
For the city council, it's politics. For me, the self-defense issue is personal.
After I went through 16 of the steps to register a gun earlier this year, I had to endure the 10-day waiting period to “cool off.” During that time, I received a terrifying call one evening. The stranger, whose number was blocked, left a minute-long voicemail.
“I know everything about you," said the caller in a high-pitched voice. "I've been watching you. Your every step. I'm coming for you Emily.” Also, “I'm a crazy mother f--er. This is not a game. This is not for some f--ing scary f--ing movie. This is real business.” Finally the caller ended with, “Don't you think of going to the police.”

I know the people who say “Move to Virginia! Move to Arizona!” mean well in the comments section, but that’s not the point.
If Emily’s brave enough to take on DC on this issue, more power to her. It’s about time the anti-constitutionalists be forced to fight on their own turf....and by staying and fighting, she is helping more Americans secure their rights.
Emily is a brave lady. I salute her. She deserves great credit. I hope that there is a good man in her future.

As for dealing with the caller, Laugh loudly and say, “Come and get me you gutless wonder!”
As for follow up, strap it on and screw the consquences.
They might want to outlaw pepper spray since it might hinder the only jobs they have in DC ghetto’s these days criminals

Might just as well call it plain pepper spray, up here in camp one guy dropped his can of bear spray out of his 4 wheeler. Next time we found it some bear had bit it to get at the pepper. Bit right through the can, twice! Can is crushed flat with all his teeth holes through it.

I’d hazard a guess most aeroaal cans with products like de-icer, liquid wrench, oven cleaner would do in a pinch. Wasp and hornet killer is heavy duty insectide and shoots a stream 10-15 feet. More than one way to skirt the restrictions imho.
That said she'll have to decide whether she wants to be eulogized as a "beautiful law abiding girl".
Emily should also have a good knife, fixed blade or assisted opening preferably. Can get a decent Kershaw AO for $30, a nice 3 1/2" Buck fixed blade or a Cold Steel Safekeeper for the same price.
Remember that old adage, "Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6".
