NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Police are asking for the public’s help Wednesday to identify taggers who allegedly shot a man riding a bicycle through his North Hollywood neighborhood.
The taggers were marking a wall Tuesday night when one shot the 50-year-old unidentified victim in the 11300 block of Hatteras Street around 8:50 p.m., according to authorities.
Allegedly the victim confronted the taggers asking what they were doing and one man thought he was trying to take a picture of them on his cell phone, police said.
The man chased the victim and fired once with a handgun, shooting him in the calf.
The victim was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he was reportedly in stable condition, police said.
Authorities are searching for the suspects, who fled the scene on foot.
They are described as men in their 20s, according to police.
Damn shame they couldn't narrow it down a little more.
Umm... I’ve gotta call BS on this article. Guns are heavily regulated in Kalifornia. There’s got to be something they’re not mentioning.
how the heck did a criminal get a gun in the first place? California has all kinds of laws against that. Furthermore, why weren’t the police able to protect this man and his neighborhood?

“Taggers” makes it sound so innocent. They are gang-bangers marking their territory where they sell drugs and girls, rob and kill. I imagine with the street address folks down there know what gang they are, not that anybody will stand up to them anyway. Unlike this poor guy on his bike. RIP

“Tagger” is a misnomer. The correct term is “graffiti vandal.” And a graffiti vandal is on an intellectual par with a dog pi**ing on a fire hydrant.

The Libs at CBS-LA could given a better politically correct description of the suspects without giving away the obvious that they try so hard to hide. Such as, did the men in their 20’s have two arms and two legs? What about pants...were the suspects wearing pants??

Five year olds have been suspended and expelled from school for making a “gun” with their finger and here we have Obama doing it with a teenager (at least). And what was the point of this little display? Of course we’ll never know.
