UNITED NATIONS (AP) -- The head of the Arab League is calling for the international community to criminalize blasphemy, warning that insults to religion pose a serious threat to global peace and security.

Nabil Elaraby's comments to a special session of the U.N. Security Council put him at odds with the United States and many of its western allies, which are resolutely opposed to restrictions on freedom of expression.

By definition islam is blasphemy to Judism and Christianity!

I call for the criminalization of the Arab League.

That's really what they should do. They should draft legislation banning blasphemy from the Christian point of view, that is carefully constructed to ban the Koran and Islam because of things they say about Jesus. The Christian legislation should say at a minimum the following.

• It's blasphemy to deny that Jesus was God.
• It's blasphemy to speak of Jesus as only a prophet.
• It's blasphemy to say that Jesus deceived anyone about his crucifixion.
• It's blasphemy to say the apostles lied about Jesus.
• It's blasphemy to say that the Old and New Testaments are incomplete or includes errors.
• It's blasphemy to deny that Jesus was a Jew.
• It's blasphemy to say that Jesus wasn't the only begotten Son of God.
• It's blasphemy to claim that salvation comes through works or according to the "scales". (An Islamic term meaning that if you are 51% good vs 49% evil you are okay.)
• It's blasphemy to burn the Old or New Testament.

• Any book that claims any of these things should be burned.
• Anyone possessing materials claiming any of these things is guilty of blasphemy.

  And they could write a similar law from the Hindu perspective also banning the Koran and Islam.

  And yet another from the Jewish perspective if you really want to get their goat.
