I don’t think this is about dispiriting us. I think they’re afraid that the real numbers will dispirit THEIR base.

This is about keeping the left engaged.

Well this Ohioan conservative is staying home. Not because of the media, but the GOP not giving me an actual choice.

And the GOP was warned.

Meh, I might as well stay home. The only guy in this entire election, all the way down to local school board, that I can really vote FOR is a 'shoe-in'. All the rest are deciding between sucks totally and sucks slightly less.

Don’t you want to vote in the Senate race?

Your Republican Senatorial candidate sounds very good, judging by his e-mail ad...

—>

...Josh Mandel — a true conservative who served two tours in Iraq as a U.S. Marine and is now the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Ohio.

Josh Mandel is a young conservative leader and he’s running against Senator Sherrod Brown, an ultra-liberal, 38-year career politician. Unlike Brown, Mandel will stand up to the massive spending, bailouts, and debt that are destroying our country. But that’s not what’s keeping Harry Reid awake at night.

Josh Mandel isn’t your average Republican. He’s a true conservative and has the courage to stand up to the big spenders in both parties.

“I happen to think there are a lot of Republicans who are just as guilty as Democrats for the problems in Washington,” Mandel acknowledged in an interview with the Washington Examiner. “It’s not good enough to elect Republicans to the Senate and the House. We need to elect free-market conservatives and folks who understand the principles of the Constitution.”

Josh Mandel is exactly right and he’s ready to stand up for those principles no matter what the cost.

“When I take that backbone to Washington, I will use it to stand up to political leaders on both sides of the aisle,” Mandel explains. “And the day that some Republican party leader puts his hand on my shoulders and says, ‘Listen son, you better vote for this legislation or else I’m going to kick you off of your committee, or else I’ll shut off your fundraising,’ I’ll look that Republican boss in the eye and tell him I don’t work for him and he can’t push me around, because I’ve been through tougher stuff than this.”

Yeah I like Mandel, I’ll probably go vote for him. But Hell NO on Romney.

The GOP elite nominated him over our wishes, they can figure out why they lost in November.

Why should we not vote for Obama? The republicans keep telling us how nice he is.

Why change when even the challengers are ok with the guy we got now. Romney is convincing the country that he is the etch-a-schetch man with a different voice every day. He only knows how to run against conservatives it seem.

Somebody tell the dork that Obama is a conservative and maybe He will get some game on. As its going, sad to say, it will be four more years and death to america..

Then why don’t you do something about it?!!!! Run for office at some level, financially help a true conservative that is running for office. Don’t just sit on your hands and blame the establishment. A non-vote for Romney is a vote for Obama, is that what you want?!! that is the dumbest excuse to not vote. Do you understand what is at stake here?

I just don’t understand you type of people. You’re either a democrat operative trying to depress and influence conservatives or you’re an irresponsible Republican. You’re worthless to our side......just go away.

The left can’t afford the narrative that it’s a close race; a tie. Progressives hear what their neighbors and co-workers and even other Dems are saying about this President.

No. A tie in this case doesn’t go to whomever the replacement refs deem.

They have to make the case that Obama is really Charlie Sheen. He’s winning.......

Nope, just not a chump for the RINO’s in our party. Who correctly estimated that they could override the wishes of 90% of the party faithful and we’d still vote for them because OBAMA!!

Well this former chump is a chump no more. If the GOP is to save the country, the GOP must first fix ITSELF. When I see that happen I will consider voting GOP.

Mandel seems to have his head screwed on right and is not yet corrupted. I’ll throw him a vote. But Romney is the evil of the system personified.

So yeah, I’m not voting for Obama either, he is anti-everything I stand for, but the fact of the matter is if Obama wins, the GOP can try again with a candidate that I can vote for in 2016. If Romney wins there is no hope until 2020 or 2024.

And I take the long view. First the GOP must be saved, then the country may be saved. But that’s a forlorn hope, best to assume the crash position.

Please don’t stay home. I am expecting my first child and I don’t want him or her to grow up in Obama’s America where freedom and liberty have been abolished. Please this election is too important to make a protest vote. I am not a Romney fan, my first two choices were Michelle Bachmann and then Rick Santorum. However, I am now strongly supporting Romney/Ryan because the alternative is unthinkable. Would you want to have to tell your grandchildren that you refused to vote in the critical election where America died.

You’ve been brainwashed by fear.

If this country is worth anything it will survive four more years of Obama.

If it can’t survive Obama, then Romney can’t save it either. At best maybe buy some time.

And if we’re in ‘buying time’ mode, I’d rather hit the wall now in my lifetime rather than leave it to my progeny.

I’ve said quite a few times, if Baraq wins in November, the most profound work on FR will be the “bolt or revolt” discussions.

Yea, I get it. You're mad you didn't get your guy. To prove how mad you are, you plan to join in with those that hope to further hasten the destruction of what is left of America.

Good luck with that.
