I guess Barry will be having a press conference tomorrow to accept the credit from the “media” for a fabulous job.

Doesn’t matter to me. The damage is already done. I’m through with the NFL. They can go to hell.

Shame. The baby zebras are a perfect example of what happens when the rule of law is ignored and practiced by amatuers. A modern object lesson (albeit on a very small scale) in the fruits of moral relativism, public education, and all that addends to those who make their own gods. We needed them around at least till November 6 so we could point to them and say, “This is how liberal democrats function.”

The NFL should have just fired the union thugs (yes that includes Ed Hochuli and his bunch) instead of knuckling under to their demands. By the way, I object to the pejorative term "scab" that you used. People who oppose unionism, no matter in what form, are patriots. I enjoyed the games in 1987 when the replacements stood up to the corrupt NFLPA and its vile leader, Gene Upshaw.

I make a point to "look for the union label" and then purchase another product or service. Unionism and communism are branches of the same evil root.

I lived for many years in a region of America under the thumb of Big Labor, Pittsburgh. The economy of a once-thriving part of our country was devastated by the unholy alliance of union goons and the democrat political machine.

From what I’ve read so far, the NFL got the best deal. The unions didn’t get more money or benefits and the new members, 21 of them, will be tested and brought in under a kind of probation before being allowed to become union members and get the salary and bennies.

I hate unions. Hell has a special place for the likes of Samuel Gompers. John L. Lewis, Jimmy Hoffa, I.W. Abel, Richard Trumka and other agents of Satan. I will rejoice in the eternal punishment that these evil men will suffer, along with those of like mind, Adolph Hitler, Joseph Stalin and the murderous Ted Kennedy.

Well, I ain’t got much skin in the game when it comes to unions. But it would be remiss of me to not say I think that the NEA and the autoworkers unions have done alot to cause some of the declines in this country.

I just see that as being a total different ball of wax than a referees union.

First and foremost, I want to apologize for jumping on you over the term "scab" in your post. It's obvious that it was meant in jest and I should have not reacted in such a manner. I hope we're OK.

I have such contempt for unionism that it's one of my hot button issues. As a result, the leftist term "scab" is just one of those words that's like Kryptonite to me.

With that out of the way, you're right. The NEA, UAW and a whole host of other alphabet agencies (USWA, CWA, UMW and far too many more to enumerate) of Big Labor have spelled doom for America's economic prowess. The whole foundation of unionism stands in opposition to enterprise, freedom and liberty. When slavery was abolished, unionism arose to take its place.

The Founding Fathers would not countenance unionism. It's an extortion racket violating all aspects of the RICO laws. I look forward to the day when a massive Constitutional Conservative movement sweeps across the land and union thugs are put behind bars.

I am not a fan of Unions either, but the NFL dropped the ball on this one. They had time to hire qualified people, test them, train them, test them some more and train them some more. They failed to invest in a new system that could replace the union ref’s.

People will still complain and whine. It’s a game, you win some and you lose some. Deal with it.

I didn’t really see much of a difference with the replacements. I think they were just under more scrutiny. Pundits calling the Seahawks touchdown the worst call in history haven’t been watching football for very long.
