The relationship between Sanders and DeMaio has been notoriously frosty. Sanders said they don’t talk much and haven’t always gotten along. But Sanders said Tuesday he cared about the city too much to "sit out" the endorsement. ...
A 10News and SurveyUSA poll of likely voters out Tuesday put Filner up 12 points over DeMaio, 50 percent to 38 percent.
"Pick a group, and that group is breaking for Bob Filner," Luna said. "Even people over 65 are spit 44-44 in the poll.
"So even male, white males in particular, that you would think he'd be breaking for a Republican candidate aren't breaking for him. And margins with other groups, Latino, African Americans, education for everybody but just for some college, all the groups are breaking fairly significantly for Filner."

With various pickups on the city council and shift in congressional representation I fear this may signal the end of San Diego as the last reliably Republican major city.
All doubt is removed about californication.The smart ones are leaving or have left and only the dumbasses remain.

That’s so sad because San Diego was really the only California city we enjoyed visiting. At one time that state had everything going for it and has squandered everything.
Too bad that they finally get a mayor worth voting for, DeMaio, and now I live outside the city limits.
Filner’s parents were Communist Party members and his father was a Party organizer in Pennsylvania.

Where better to learn how than in California? Conservatives are needed here more than in Texas or Oklahoma.
