Also keep in Mind Reagan wasn’t loved by every republican until after the 1980 landslide. I was a huge fan, but there were many republicans that doubted his ability to win.
But Reagan knew how to go over the heads of the press, and of the establishment types and connect directly with the people. I have seen no evidence that Romney has that ability.
