What is sad is how many times I have seen a police officer kill a kid with a toy gun or what ever .... no context, I think this is an effort to inflame passions for gun control.

His son could have been killed just as easily by a police officer but that wouldn’t be front page news.

There is more to this story.

This is a single man in his 40s with a 15 year old adopted son - and he adopted just a few years ago when the son when the child was 10 or 11.

He is a teacher and the kid was a student.

The boy is supposedly breaking into the adoptive father's sister's house in a ski mask, the sister calls the adoptive father and he comes running over with a handgun and kills the intruder.

This may be just a "tragic story" or it may be much more sinister.

LOL, you have a tagline about "God speaking to us"; then you post rude garbage like that for no reason.

Read the Lad's posting history.

Then look up Concern Troll in the dictionary. You'll find his picture there.

This kid wins a Darwin Award. Dressed like that and then he charges the dad with a knife? COME ON!

Blam!

Somebody got their panties in a wad this morning. You are not exactly a long time veteran around here. Chill.

That does raise some questions. Whatever happened, I hope the police will be investigating further.

I think you guys are making too many assumptions.

The two witnesses are a man and his sister.

The dead individual is the 15 year old adopted son of the man - who was adopted as an 11 year old by the man, who was once his teacher and who is single and in his 40s.

His story is exactly perfect: the kid was wearing a ski mask and lunged with a knife.

This is a scenario that is full of possibilities for foul play.

Oops.

I searched by the teen’s name and then posted the first link I found without looking at the source first. The other articles there are... well... ridiculous.

So, here’s the same story at a different link:

http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5gCPaTclz2JbYwkkPPEUVmcKllcRg?docId=6b2fe331956b4e0db7b733d539731673

Two possibilities:

Either (1) this teen was sociopathic and living a double life, fooling everyone,

or (2) something else happened.

The fact that he was a CAP cadet hits me hard (having had a son in the program once). It doesn’t mean this teen was a perfect kid, of course.

According to this article, the teacher either has a wife or did have one when this boy was adopted.
