(CNSNews.com) - During a cybersecurity summit hosted by the National Journal in Washington, D.C., on Friday, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano revealed that she doesn’t use email at all.
“Don’t laugh, but I just don’t use email at all,” Napolitano said when asked about her personal cyber security.
Shane Harris, senior writer for the Washingtonian, asked the secretary if she integrates two-layer authentication with her email and whether she has multiple passwords for her accounts.

I don’t believe her. I just think she would be foolish to admit to any security precautions in public; that would just be like throwing down the gauntlet to hackers.

If she refuses to participate in the “cyber” world (IMHO it’s a goofy term so I put it in quotes-we mean computers/internet), she should certainly should not be in charge of this goofy Homeland Security Dept, the responsibilities and authorities of which include this security that she refuses to submit herself to.
Of course, it’s a convenient excuse to have no record of emails - no trail of evidence.

She simply misspoke. She meant to say, “I’ve had all my official DHS E-mail communications erased.”

Even if true (and we all know it’s not true) SHE IS UNQUALIFIED TO DO HER JOB AS HEAD OF DHS IF SHE DOESN’T USE E-MAIL.

Right, if she really doesn’t use email, it’s not because of cybersecurity concerns, it’s because she knows it’s too easy for them to be used as evidence against her.
