ROUND ROCK, Texas-- Round Rock resident Doug McLean is a Democrat.
McLean recently asked his neighbors to post Obama 2012 signs in their front yards. But earlier this week, he noticed his Obama signs were disappearing. So McLean said he called the police.

A Republican collects and disposes of this litter, and he's a "thief"?
That's interesting.
I made my beighbor abry when he put an Obama sign out, I had an old folding chair I put out next to the sign. He got mad and threw the chair beack in my yard. I opened it up and left it there. It works for me.
His Commie Lib neighbors can no longer afford one so they gotta steal em from a dumb ass who keeps buying them.
The backlash from this blatant criminal activity will undoubtedly put the state of Texas into Obama’s column come election Day. /sarc off
I believe the sign was on private property and thats why the guy received a citation for trespassing.
As for my view, by removing the Obama sign, the guy was simply attempting to protect property values.
No mention is made in the article of a citation for trespassing, or any citation at all.
However, to just go out and pull up signs when you have no authority - not sure that's a good idea.
From another source:
“A $50 trespassing citation was given to Kolbe by the Williamson Sheriff’s Department.”

Koble has a responsibility to keep his neighborhood free of trash and he saw the Obama signs as trash.

Political Yard Signs in Texas are always a hot topic.
I guess Romney is not printing any this year.
Here’s the other side of the story:
Koble says according to neighborhood association codes, the signs were put out too early and weren’t technically in a yard.
Signs are to be placed in [a] back or front yard and are not allowed in common area of golf course property, Koble said.
“However, to just go out and pull up signs when you have no authority - not sure that’s a good idea. “
If they aren’t supposed to be there, well, then I’d call that being a good neighbor. I was recently walking through a public park next to a busy intersection and saw that someone had put up a sign, not political, but for “1-800-Got-Junk?” on the public land. So I ripped it out and unceremoniously dumped it in the trash. Was I stealing or vandalizing, or just being a good citizen, pitching in to clean up the public property?
Sign redistribution? Shocking!
Yeah, I guess it's groovy.
Isn't making your beighbor abry against the law?
The Democratic Police operatives gave him a citation.
Police should have better things to do than protect Obama signs.
He doesn’t need yard signs in Texas, its solidly Republican, but I got one from the campaign in the mail. I have a house in TX and CA.
