Unfortunately we’ve reached a tipping point where we have”diversity”, not a common heritage. Almost half of the population has traded individual liberty for the security of a regular government check. The average poor person on government assistance enjoys a higher standard of living, for no personal effort, than 95% of the world’s population. What does liberty mean for the fourth generation urban welfare youths who live in government housing, eat government provided food, have free cell phones, and are asked to do nothing in return? They have wide screen televisions, easy access to recreational drugs, and free sex with no accountability for the consequences. They have no concept as to the principles of individual liberty, limited government, and civic responsibility on which the nation was founded nor do they care.

I fear our military is also being transformed from the protector of liberty to the enforcer for the state. It is the ultimate consequence of the transition from a citizen army comprised primarily of the state militias and draftees to a standing professional army. The citizen soldier, who is called to service when the nation is in great peril and goes home to live a civilian life once the war is over (think all of our wars through Vietnam), is loyal first to family and community and second to government. The professional career soldier is hired to do the bidding of government, which over the past 30 years has evolved to imperialist intervention in whatever conflict around the world the sitting commander in chief wants to engage in whether or not it is in the national interest or supported by the people. An army that will march into a third world country on the orders of the President, and without a formal declaration of war, will certainly march on citizens inside the country the President designates as involved in insurrection or domestic terrorism. Anyone who does not believe this needs only to reread the history of the US between 1861 and the end of Reconstruction.

We went to a volunteer Army because in 1973 both parties worked to end the draft (not sure how else you would bring back a citizen soldier Army). Also, citizen soldier armies have a bad habit of getting their asses handed to them at the start of a war before they figure out what they're doing (the Colonial Army, War of 1812-Battle of Niagra, Bull Run, Kasserine Pass, Task Force Smith), which is another reason why the Army wished to go to a "professional" force after WWII since they thought they wouldn't have a chance to go through the classic "get beat first then learn" model witht the Soviets.

Ever since I joined FR I have been asking and warning about the tipping point. Personally, I think we passed it when 0bambi was elected. The people who elected him were blinded by hate and guilt to hear what he said he would do.

Four years have past, we are further past the tipping point as to be beyond hope. So, now what do we do?

IF SECESSION NOT, THEN REVOLUTION MUST.

“Unfortunately we’ve reached a tipping point where we have”diversity”, not a common heritage.” ... And it is by design not accidental. Little barry bastard commie presiding in the White House is there by the same designers ...
