The actor's surname, "Durrani" is of Afghanistan/Arab/Muslim extraction. The Durrani Empire in that country began in 1747, then faded away, replaced by another empire. The convoluted blood-soaked history of Afghanistan is too convoluted and eye-glazing to go into here....or anywhere.

He didn’t help matters, but this pre-dates him and Obama. The first attack was in 1993, but BJ Clinton was more interested in hunting down survivalists in Idaho.

Passenger Nona Pitts told NBC4 that the man, identified by the FBI as 26-year-old actor-model Arash Durrani, sat across from her on United Airlines flight 473. Pitts asked whether he was "on anything" because of his strange behavior.

"He was kind of slurring his words," Pitts said. "He just goes, 'Why, you want some?'

Thanks; it was a strange tme back then. There is no defense for Timothy McVeigh’s attack (I would be more understanding if he did it at midnight with an empty building), but that whole movement (small but potent) really shined a spotlight on the bizarre priorities of the federal government. The NRA probably never enlisted so many new members (unless it was in the last year or two).
