The way he was running around erratically, I have to suspect he was high on bath salts or some hallucinogen. He ran around like some ghost was chasing him. It was real weird.

Fox should be disgusted with itself. After covering this event (VERY big TV ratings draw), when it went bad, with Smith screeching “cut away! cut away! it was shameful. If you are going to cover live a car chase, you are obliged to show how it ends. Hypocrites.

I had it on when the chase started and switched it right before the event. My first thought was, not another chase, where is the news.

It was a very weird chase. Cops stayed way back. I saw the end.. it was a very long camera shot. I don’t feel traumatized in the least.

I can't get too tore up about the ending to the chase. And it was far enough away from the camera that it wasn't all that graphic, certainly not worthy of the media hyperventilating.

When the police pulled back (after he'd shot at them) but the helicopter continued to follow, he was cornered....No place to go. With his history violence, it was his likely reaction. Saved the tax payers money and no one can blame LEO as they were far away.

But Fox could have easily run the chase with a 7-second delay so they’d have time to cut away before broadcasting the end. Do they take us for idiots?
