Supporters And Opponents Of The Dream Act Rally For Votes Ahead Of November Referendum...

BALTIMORE (WJZ)– Supporters of the state’s Dream Act are making a call to action to voters. The measure will be on the November ballot, and as Gigi Barnett explains, opponents are rallying their backers too.

Supporters of the Dream Act rallied on the State House steps to get lawmakers to back the measure that gives illegal immigrants in-state tuition.

Now, this week– less than 40 days before the November referendum– they’re going door-to-door.

“All they want is to pay in-state tuition,” Zeke Cohen, executive director of Intersection said.

It should say...“All they want is free college in-state tuition. “People think it’s a hand-out or it’s free tuition or it’s giving the children of undocumented workers some kind of advantage that other people don’t have when in reality, it levels the playing fileld,” Question 4 on the ballot gives in-state tuition to illegal students who graduated from Maryland high schools and whose parents have paid state taxes for five years.

How are these parents paying any state income tax without using document fraud to do so and why did they leave out paying of federal income taxes is also taken out from the same check for 5 years? Their check stubs will show both federal and state income taxes deductions withheld. Are what they really are saying is let's reward those 5 years document fraud with pay in-state tuition which equals free college educations.

What difference does it make? It’s already been implemented via policy changes. Who knew laws gave such wide latitude to the writers of regulation? Seems like lawmakers shirk their duty if that’s the case.

I am voting against the Dream act, Prop 7, and same sex marriage and I urge all my friend to do the same.

In two years we hopefully will get the opportunity to vote for Charles Lollar for Governor.

Don’t forget to vote down the Congressional redistricting map (gerrymandered to the infinite degree by Martin O’Moron).

There are a finite number of slots for students in State universities. They make far more money on out of state tuition, so those are not going to be affected. Illegals will be competing with CITIZENS for the rest of the college openings.

I went door knocking for Bongino and Nancy Jacobs yesterday. When discussing this one guy said “well, just open up more schools” That’s the level of moronicity we’re up against. (yea, it’s a made up word)
