WASHINGTON — Florida elections officials said Friday that at least 10 counties have identified suspicious and possibly fraudulent voter registration forms turned in by a firm working for the Republican Party of Florida, which has filed an election fraud complaint with the the state Division of Elections against its one-time consultant.

The controversy in Florida -- which began with possibly fraudulent forms that first cropped up in Palm Beach County -- has engulfed the Republican National Committee, which admitted Thursday that it urged state parties in seven swing states to hire the firm, Strategic Allied Consulting. The RNC paid the company at least $3.1 million -- routed through the state parties of Florida, Nevada, Colorado, North Carolina and Virginia -- to register voters and run get out the vote operations. Wisconsin and Ohio had not yet paid the firm for get-out-the-vote operations it was contracted to do.

Axelrod’s work for certain.

He want’s to put the vote in doubt before the election, to draw it out in the event the chosen one loses in a close election.

Read somewhere that this company that they hired conducted voter registration for the Democrates last election. What on earth were they thinking hiring this company? I have been working with the Republican Party of our county for 6 mos. we have been getting the vote out and canvassing. We didn’t need a stinking company to do it. I agree it is going to be 2000 all over again, but worse because we have more extremists in our midst.

turned in by a firm working for the Republican Party of Florida

Seems to be a lot of that this time around and the GOP better be downright brutal in dealing with it.

How do they know whether the company they hired is not working for the other side?

I guess the big question is - and I hope it is in place - does Preibus have a plan for all precincts to have Pubbie monitors at all polls, including the inner city, Black Panther districts?

Discrepancies on rolls, Dems assuming identities of the dead is gonna be big, and unless we do have a plan to monitor, a tree will have fallen in the woods, but we weren’t there to hear it and as such, it made no noise we can prove.

That was my first thought too. Remember, they already tried to get race riots started down there with the Trayvon Martin fiasco. This is Dem handiwork.

This election is going to suck.
If Obie wins he will go scorched earth on us.
If we win, his minions will go scorched earth on us and there may be riots.
What are we to do?
Bring it.

Fire whoever is involved and go on. Republicans do not need to cheat to win. Although Democrats believe we cheat with the electronic machines, but they never accused us of cheating with the paper ballots or registration. We must have a higher standard than the Democrats. I know we didn't pick a guy better then the Democrats for President but I was hoping that it was an autonomy.

Good Grief....all we need is the GOP giving the DNC ammo to claim “Voter Fraud”.

My home state GOP is getting butt-stupid. First we send a Hispano-Racist to the Senate (replacing another Hispano-Racist), claim he is a “conservative”....we have a GOP Gov and AG pandering to the Black Racists to lynch an innocent man...and now dealing w a company who may have committed vote fraud.

We had better be serious about the Senate races, lest Obie get more SCOTUS pics.

"Read somewhere that this company that they hired conducted voter registration for the Democrats last election. What on earth were they thinking hiring this company?"

Just more of the shenanigans of the establishment political class. Have you not figured it out yet? Both sides of the political elites play us against each other for their own personal gains. I would be more interested in going through the internals of this company to find out who really owns them or who is their biggest benefactor.

I think I ran into some of these people canvassing folks waiting in line to attend the Romney/Ryan rallye in Jacksonville right after the convention. Being a Poll Worker myself, I did notice the forms were not like the ones I had used when I canvassed my neighborhood.

My God, the RNC are stuck on stupid, aren’t they? Why in the world do they feel it necessary to hire a firm to register voters to begin with? Then, why the HELL would they hire the same firm which was scandalized in the last election with the Democrats?

GOP is a complete joke. Time for a third Party.

It is amazing that no one checks into the internals of these companies. Who or what owns them. I agree with you on that. I have not seen these forms, but my daughter works in Tallahassee in the Board of Elections division. I am going to ask her about it. See if she knows what is going on.

Read the article. They’re not “fraudulent” - they suffer from paperwork errors, such as no checkmark in the party affiliation box, a person who didn’t use his middle initial in signing, etc. The Dems are poring over them, and this firm was careless. It didn’t have its employees check them carefully, and nobody at the GOP headquarters checked them before sending them in.

The Dems did this in 2004, too, when we used all volunteers for voter registration, and they terrified these little old lady volunteers by sending them legal letters saying that they would be held liable for “voter fraud” in the registrations. We had to check every form twice before sending it in to the county clerk.
