I remember the parks, playgrounds etc.. being vacant. It was almost like there were no children. Yes, the kids did lose a lot of their innocence (especially since it was a year after 9/11). The most stupid thing I remember was zig-zagging across a parking lot trying to get into a grocery store. Looking back it was comical. Eight people zig zagging in a hurry trying to get groceries. Just for making me zig zag.. they should tack on another ten years. LOL!
