Military Absentee Voting...Ballots Not Being Requested?
Military Voter Protection Project ^ | 9-30-12 | Kenric Ward

FREDERICKSBURG — A 92 percent drop in absentee-ballot requests by military personnel in Virginia is raising concerns that the Pentagon is failing to carry out a federal voting law.

With only 1,746 military voters in Virginia requesting absentee ballots so far this year — out of 126,251 service members in the state —the Military Voter Protection Project says the system has broken down.

And it’s not just in the Old Dominion. MVPP Executive Director Eric Eversole reports significant declines in absentee-ballot requests by service members across the nation.

Compiling data from Virginia, Florida, North Carolina, Illinois, Ohio, Alaska, Colorado and Nevada, Eversole’s organization found that military families have requested 55,510 absentee ballots so far this year. That’s a sharp decline from the 166,252 sought in those states in 2008.

Those bastards do everything else in plain sight, why not this? What do they have to fear from Boehner and McConnell?

Each Military Base is “required” to have a facility to assist in voting.

They don’t have them and when called out on that fact, they used the excuse of “recently changed phone numbers”, to answer charges of non-compliance.

Just like the Obamaphone woman said, "Keep Obama in president, you know!"

Most corrupt administration in American history, bar none.

My guess would be that Repub voters are not going to let Obama have the advantage of the number of absentee ballots.

It's why I lie for all these polls.

If the military casts their votes Obama knows he is finished. His own troops don’t even like him. They are real men that have had to sacrifice their own lives leaving behind their children and wives while they are overseas protecting our nation. They aren’t out chumming it up at lavish parties, golfing, or going on vacations every few months. They are men of character who understand the distinction of good and evil because they have seen it in real life not from sitting in front of a computer with a nice warm cup of coffee in the safety of their on home. They have probably figured out that he’s trying to bring radical Islm to America via the highest office in the land. If they vote he is one and he knows it.

A clear case of disparate impact!

Not to worry.

The Justice Department will be on it shortly.

Not saying all, but maybe a few percentage points are due to the fact that a lot of folks in the military now are Johnson supporters or have the “doesn’t matter who I vote for mentality both parties stink” mentality and haven’t requested one due to that.

If this is true, then I suspect this is due to pressure from the White House. ZerO knows the majority of armed forces members will not vote for him.

Something stinks here and it’s not just the Obama Administration. This needs to be investigated to find out why these troops are not asking for ballots.

Are they being prevented by the individual state voter registrars?Thats something I doubt.

Are they being coerced into not voting.Thats more likely.Right up the Obama/Democrat alley.

I was once a ‘voting officer’ in the Army. Its an additional duty, assigned to a low ranking officer...something he has to accomplish on top of all of his other duties.

What influences whther or not these additional duties get done? Command influence. If I sense its not really that important, I do a lukewarm job...if I sense my commander really wants it done, and done right - that’s what I do. Its a top down influence...and I suspect it is not considered that important at the very top of the military, right now.

Another thing to keep in mind - 4 years is an eternity in the military. There are ALOT of soldiers in the military today, who weren’t of voting age in 2008...and have never voted before. Nor do they know the ins and outs of absentee voting. So, I can see how it would be easy to ‘supress’ the military vote through neglect.

Where are the Republican congress critters?

Back home telling lies about their "conservative" voting record, and raising money so they can go back to DC and live like kings on the public t*t.

The troops KNOW their ballots aren’t being counted by this administration anyway. They probably figure , what’s the point of even requesting them.
