Pres. Obama’s record in regard to Christians and Biblical values
WDTPRS ^ | 10/1/2012 | Fr John Zuhlsdorf

The fight for our religious liberty is really just beginning.

Remember how Pres. Obama said at Notre Shame that he was interested in “common ground”?   Remember what he promised Card. Dolan?

I was sent this list by a reader.  It recounts Pres. Obama’s actions in regard to Christian values.

Take a look at this list and then ask yourself: In a second term, would he be better in this regard or worse?

1. Acts of Hostility Toward People Of Biblical Faith:

2. Acts of Hostility From The Obama-Led Military Toward People Of Biblical Faith:

3. Acts of Hostility Toward Biblical Values:

4. Acts Of Preferentialism For Islam:

Thanks very much for posting this. The problem is deep in his soul (and that of some of his followers and czars and delegates). It is not likely to suddenly correct itself in a second term.

All of this is VERY true....but I am already such I would NEVER vote for Mr. Obama...Never.

However, since it mentions his problems with Christianity. Bottom line is that Romney is part of a cult that perverts Christianity. Romney, as a devout Mormon, is a “functional” or “practical” anti-Christian in his beliefs. Since he pushes Mormonisn, he is anti-Christian.

In the purely secular sense, he is a “better” man than Obama. His devout Mormonisn makes him someone I cannot vote for. Plus, his liberal record in Mass. is plenty of reason to not trust him outside of his Mormonism.

So, I will NEVER vote for Mr. Obama, but I will not vote for Mr. Romney either. Both men are unacceptable to me. So, I will vote third party for POTUS, or leave that portion of the ballot blank. I have voted for the GOP candidate for POTUS in every election since I first voted in 1976. I will not vote for Romney this time, no more than I would Obama.

We know that Obama is bad....you are “preaching to the choir” to talk about it on FR. IF you think that will move conservatives like myself to support Mr. Romney...you are seriously mistaken.

Better don your flame-proof suit, SV. You’re going to need it. I have an extra on back order.

This is the most important election in our history since I have been alive (75 yr old) I am neither Catholic nor Mormon, but I am a Christian. Our country is being threatened by a cult...Islam..who wants to do away with us unless we convert to their religion. Please don’t sit at home and not vote. Romney is an honorable man. He does LOVE the USA.

By the way, this might be the last election we have in the country we now call the United States of America.

Obama and Romney come from the same corrupt, rotten root. You just don’t know it... yet.

I’d like to see the look on your face when you find out. Maybe your subsequent posts will show it.

I read your profile and I share most, if not all, of your views and opinions...except one. We KNOW that Obama is morally bankrupt and appears to be serving a dark master. The examples of actions taken cited in the article prove that. We don’t really KNOW much about Romney, only what the traitorous media has told us and his record in Mass, which is certainly not stellar from a conservative viewpoint. He was certainly not my choice of a candidate when the field had so many true conservatives. I didn’t trust him then and I have reservations now. BUT it must be anybody but Obama or we are doomed. We may face a similar fate with Romney but we don’t KNOW that. A vote for a third party may make you feel good when you are leaving the poll but when the votes are counted if Obama wins you should feel ashamed because it could just be that you and others who think like you bring us the end of America. Please consider holding your nose and voting for a chance for our beloved country. Just a chance that our country can change course. A third party vote offers no chance. Is that really what you want?

Alan Keyes expresses it much better than I ever could:
Keyes to the Republic Vol. 1 President Obama and Mitt Romney

Basically, Romney has already implemented, at a state level, almost everything that Obama only wishes he could.

I know that, BUT it was at the state level and these were things that should be legislated by the state and the feds should never touch. The states laws should reflect the will of its citizens. Mass. is a very liberal state and it would seem fitting that its laws would be among the more liberal and that its governor would not try to impose his will against those of the citizens. There is an interesting story written by the guy who bought the Romney’s house in Utah. On the day of the closing Romney showed up and offered to walk through the house and show the new owner how things worked. That simple act of kindness says a lot about the man, IMHO. He also had friends and family help him pack up and move. This was in the last few years so he certainly could have afforded full service movers and having moved a few times, I certainly would pay someone to avoid that drudgery if money was not a consideration. Apparently he does not mind hard work, a stark contrast to the golfer in chief we have now.
Romney may not be perfect. Who is? Only God and to my knowledge He is not running. Romney certainly falls far short of God’s perfection but Obama seems to be the very antithesis of it and those are the only two viable choices that we have at this moment in time. Meanwhile work to get solid conservatives elected to local and state government and PRAY a lot.

So, should we not have extrapolated what Obama did as a state representative in Illinois to what philosophy he would follow as a national elected official? That makes no sense.

You don't go from holding one position at a state level to a completely OPPOSITE position on a national level. To expect as much is insanity and suicide.

Were they his positions or was he signing legislation voted on and passed by the state legislators? I don’t know the answer to that but I do know that Obama thinks it is okay to let babies die in broom closets if they survive a bothched abortion. That is a sign of a very dark soul. ABO.

Then I take it that you have no idea of Romney's steadfast position on abortion? He tried, SUCCESSFULLY, to "out-choice" Ted Kennedy.

That takes a mighty dark soul in my book.

“Our country is being threatened by a cult...Islam”

Actually, Islam is not a “cult”, it is a false religion. Mormonism is a “cult” because it is a false perversion of Christianity pretending to be Christian. Mormonisn is, in the eternal sense, every bit the “threat to America” and Islam.

As a Christian, you should be wise enough to know that a “false” Christianity is worse than a “false religion”, in that a cult like Mormonisn is harder to recognize as false...as evidenced by your post. There are a great many persons that are “honorably” men that I would not vote for. However, there is nothing remotely “honorable” about spreading a false Christianity that leads persons to hell. It is despicable in the extreme.

“We KNOW that Obama is morally bankrupt and appears to be serving a dark master.”

Yes, Obama is obviously serving a “dark master”, but what is insidious is that Romney is also. I will not betray real Christianity by helping to place a false Christian in the highest office of the land where he WILL mislead others into his false Christianity. I would plead with you to put your Christian beliefs first and don’t vote for the “lesser of two evils where both evils are unacceptable. Holding your nose is a mistake....don’t do it.

“I know that, BUT it was at the state level and these were things that should be legislated by the state and the feds should never touch.”

That is specious logic. What is wrong at the federal level, is usually JUST AS WRONG at the state level.

The man, Romney, cannot be trusted anymore than Obama.
