When it comes to Who’s No. 1 in Woody Johnson’s life, the Jet owner has a simple answer: M-I-T-T, Mitt, Mitt, Mitt.

One day after his Jets suffered an embarrassing 34-0 loss at home to San Francisco he deemed “unacceptable”, Johnson was asked on Bloomberg TV Monday if he would rather have a winning Jets’ season or a victorious presidential election for Mitt Romney.

Hope you are sitting down Jet fans.

I’m not surprised he’s more interested in seeing Romney win over the Jets considering how badly his team has played.

Jet owner should be Jets’ owner.
Jet fans = should be Jets’ fans.
Jets’ season is correct.

I am a Jets fan since 1968. Don Maynard was my favorite player as a kid. I will trade a 3-13 Jets season for a Romney win, straight up.

——”Well I think you always have to put country first,” Johnson said. “So I think it’s very, very important that for - not only us - but in particular for our kids and grandkids that this election come off with Mitt Romney and (Paul) Ryan as president and vice president.”——

Any Jet fan have a problem with that quote is a jack off ....

The man has his priorities 100 % correct....

Patriots put country first .....and not the football kind...I’m talking about ....

If Obama collapses the economy, there won’t be much of an audience for pro football.

I feel the same way about the Patriots. If the cost of a Romney victory is the Pats never winning another game in my lifetime then I’m willing to endure that.Football is one thing, the very survival of my homeland is entirely different.

ditto....i am a season ticket holder and have not missed a home game since 1981...a lot of misery though the Rex Ryan years have been pretty good...i would trade a Romney win for a 2-14 season at this point....

Yeah, really. Romney in bigger trouble than Mark Sanchez? Not hardly. I hope somebody buys the idiot who wrote this article a Chick Fil a sandwich the day after the election to help cheer him up.

I agree with Mr. Johnson, I would also rather Romney win than the Jets. As a Dolphins fan, I am required to hate the Jets.

Woody Johnson and his wife have had to deal with their share of tragedy because of their now deceased daughter. My heart went out to them when her death was smeared all over the tabloids. She was a druggie who adopted (and lost custody of) a baby, and at the time of her overdose, she was shacking up and supposedly engaged to Tila Tequila. The whole ordeal, before and after her death, must have been heart wrenching for the family.
