Poll: Americans Say Middle Class Better Off With Obama Than With Romney
By David Hill - October 1, 2012
More than half of Americans think the middle class would benefit more from a second term for President Obama than the election of Republican challenger Mitt Romney, according to a poll released Monday.
The Gallup poll shows that 53 percent of Americans give Mr. Obama an edge in helping middle-class people, compared with just 43 percent for Mr. Romney. Respondents in the poll also said another Obama term would be better for racial and ethnic minorities, lower-income Americans, women, young adults and senior citizens, while a victory for Mr. Romney would be better for men, investors and upper-income Americans.
The poll was split on how small-business owners would be affected by the presidential race, with each candidate getting support from 47 percent of respondents.
The poll was split largely along party lines, as Democrats gave Mr. Obama an overwhelming edge in most categories but said Mr. Romney would be better for upper-income Americans and were split on how the presidential race would affect investors.

The lying media is having an effect?
I bet you were please to post this.
Bet those polled are trying to skew results. Why tell the truth, the media will only lie anyway?
Idiots. Just because Obama says “middle class” 20 times in every speech doesn’t mean he has any idea how to help them.
up to their tricks again.
You mean that $300 million that Obama spent so far defaming Mitt Romney and the billions in free media help the Democrats got actually convinced some people?
Or wants to...
This has got to be a push poll. Any other explanation makes no sense.
Only those with a severe mental issue or with permanent rose-tinted glasses over their eyes will make this kind of outrageous assertion. Which is it?
They now count all of the 47 percenters as part of the middle class.
Gallup is corrupt.
Well, this middle-class guy can’t afford to put money away because gas prices have sky-rocketed, along with the price of practically everything else we buy. It’s inconceivable how any rational middle-class person could think they are better off with this idiot in the WH.
The tide is turning on these BS polls that have been released the last few weeks. Now that the rubber is hitting the road watch all of a “sudden unexpectedly” Romney takes the lead
Those who have ears to hear will hear..
Those not protected by the Blood are subject to deception which will only increase.
I had hoped to expire while whittling on my porch but things do seem to be accelerating negatively.
Here, there, or in the air my FRiend!
B.S. - Don’t believe it!
The margins are going to "grow." They're going to say that Obama is ahead by amazing margins.
There will be a different poll every hour in the days just before the election. The MSM will report each one, go ballistic for each one.
That's how it's going to be.
I know this because that's what the MSM did during the Clinton impeachment fiasco. The more evidence that came out, the more Clinton disgraced himself, the more frequently the polls were "released." Every one said the same thing: Clinton is wildly popular, and getting more popular every day. As more damning information came out, more polls came out.
They're going to do the same thing this time because it worked back in 1998.
Battered wife syndrome, on display.
Perhaps a few generations of progressive-socialist teachers backed by union thugs indoctrinating students to become socialists is rearing it’s ugly head.
[The Gallup poll shows that 53 percent of Americans. . .]
The “53 percent of Americans” means “adults 18 years or older” rather than registered voters or likely voters. These “adults” can be overgrown teenagers living at home, college students, illegal aliens, drug addicts, convicted felons, etc.—people who rarely vote if ever.
