The Republicans arent worried about Romney performing well in Wednesdays debate. They're worried about how the mainstream media will choose to report it. The bias has got so bad that Barack Obama could come on drunk in a peephole bra and many journalists would still label it a triumph (A historic performance Chris Matthews). Incredibly, some journalists are reporting an Obama victory before the debates have even happened. Perhaps the Prez shouldn't show up at all and just leave Romney to talk policy with an empty chair. MSNBC would call it for the chair ("Never in my lifetime has a piece of furniture so perfectly articulated our hopes and aspirations" Lawrence O'Donnell).
This past week, the Right has been building a big portfolio of media misinformation culminating in Paul Ryans complaint that the press refuses to tell our story. But thats not the media's job. However, there is evidence of some networks fabricating stories that put Romney in a bad light, all the while failing to dish the dirt on Obama. And as Americas foreign policy was unravelling in the Middle East, many outlets were fixating on Mitt Romneys comments about the 47 per cent of Americans that dont pay federal income tax.
Does all this amount to out-and-out bias? Not in the crude sense that reporters only break away from their copies of Das Kapital to type up White House press releases. On the contrary, studies have shown that Obama gets more negative headlines than Romney (for good reason, the cynic might snigger). And very often what conservatives regard as prejudicial reporting is actually factual reporting. For example: it is a fact that Mr Romney's campaign is run very badly indeed.
If the mainstream media is guilty of anything, its being seduced by narrative. Political journalism...

Full title: Yes, the media are massively biased towards Obama. But the real problem is the obsession with opinion polls
Wasn’t there an AP story on an 0bama speech or a debate with McCain in 2008 that was written before it had actually taken place?
There is a real danger here that conservatives are coming across as whiners whenever an unfavorable poll or story comes out.
Whiners come across as losers, and I am afraid that is how conservatives are beginning to be perceived.
It is not time for conservatives to whine, but rather to bear down and get the job done.
The administration is openly asking contractors to violate federal law and this is not any kind of scandal for the MSM.
Think about that.
They are not just biased, they are complicit in lawlessness.
They are, desperately, trying to lure Conservatives away from even thinking about the political movement in 2010 and they use their pollsters to accomplish that. Their complicit pollsters are doing everything possible to please their CUSTOMERS... the media... the newspapers... the pundits...television anchors... liberals... and rino members of Congress. It is an all out assault to undermine American values and beliefs. THEIR movement would be the envy of the most ardent propagandist.
They all will point to the polls to panic, discourage and dispirit members of Conservatives and grass roots Americans who were responsible for our 2010 political movement. They saturate the airwaves, newspapers, all the sources easily available to them, to proclaim our polls are accurate because ALL POLLS are showing the same data...it is indisputable proof that ‘this election is a dead heat’ or ‘the president has surged ahead in the swing states’ or ‘this election is all but over’.
Of course, ALL THE POLLS are showing the same indisputable proof, they have to validate each others ‘professional integrity’ by staying on the same page, don’t they? I mean, how would it look to the public if wildly different data suddenly emerged out of nowhere with no +dems, no + rep? They can’t and won’t let that happen, it would just cause confusion amongst the masses and may even cause them to question their...collective indisputable proof. In short, they would lose the power to influence the direction of our politics.
Caught John Sununu on TV this morning being questioned by some ultra-liberal journalist about an opinion poll that shows Obama ahead in New Hampshire by 15 points, 54% to 39%. Sununu laughed at him, called it garbage, and predicted that Romney would win in New Hampshire.
Most MSM employees are mere skid marks on Journalism’s shorts.
It must be somewhat embarrassing when the main stream media bias is so obvious that youre being called on it on a daily basis by other media and by media from other countries. When Os presidency ends and history reviews these past 4 years or misery, the American media will be the main culprit held responsible for his failure and their own failure to be objective. Like Carter, who was a flavor of the month shoved down the throats of Americans and resoundingly regurgitated after one term, Obama seems likely to suffer the same fate. Their best efforts to deride Ronald Reagan and point to polls showing that Carter would win didnt work then, and it wont work this time round either. The American people have had their fill of Barrack Obama and they will show it resoundingly in November.
(s) I just took a poll and found Obama leads among FR likely voters. [We had to break it down to 56% trolls, 32% Republican and 11% rossperot/pothead/moderates/independents]
so the headline is romney in desperate situation as conservatives abandon republicans by 67%!!!! poll by the South Harmon Insitute of Technology...(/s)
bumpity uppity
