you are no dummy..been here forever (once an insider as I recall) and think before you type (unlike me) but the aggregate of polls have been accurate right before every national election since ..well...Dewey
they come and go up till the last week but then baring a DUI revelation they are damned close
however...basing most samplings now on 2008 Democrat turnout just seems wrong..and we hope they are
that and other indicators in depth like Battleground has
in any event...i got news for folks..demographics are gonna kill us...even if Romney wins it is just a finger in the dike
most here have no clue or refuse to face that music instead believing all the Pollyanna crap younger folks have been thoroughly brainwashed with over identity politics or cultural relativism

Seems to me you can make that claim in the week before the election. Even then, I think there are some glaring instances of inaccuracy. Wasn't Carter thought to have been close right up until election day?

Well, for the most part, I'm not going to quibble with this statement. I do think the story is quite different if you catch 'the act' six to four weeks out. And if you extend out beyond that, we've had polls showing the Democrat as much as 17% in the lead, but mysteriously that evaporates leading up to the generaly election. I think the Left herds the populace as much as it can, then moves back toward the reality they have created just prior to the election. Who knows what percentage of the voting populace they move by reporting out gamed information weeks out?

Yes, we do.

I understand your take on this, but it has been my experience that despite all the propaganda, we still see Conservative young people. The Left can advocate for higher taxes, but the lesson is learned when young people get their first pay-check.
As for "a woman's right to choose" those who disapprove of abortion actually outnumber those who favor it. It's a very unpopular thing to do. I've seen some polls where 65% of the populace thinks abortion is wrong. Clinics that provide abortion services are closing.
I'll be honest with you. I get down at times too. It's easy to do when you've got the DNCp pumping out propagana 24/7/365. I remain unconvinced this nation is in as bad of shape politically, as they try to lead us to believe. California is the arm-pit of the nation these days. So what happens when homosexual marriage is decided at the polls? It's defeated.
Ronald Reagan delivered truth to the masses, and they couldn't refute it in their own minds. That is what is missing these days. It would have been missing in his day too, if it weren't for him.
The RNC doesn't promote Conservatism. If it did, Conservatism would win hands down.
California is at least in part as vile as it is, because the RNC abandoned it 24 years ago.
You can tell a kid that a basketball is green all you want, even for years, but all it takes is one person to remind the kid it's basically the same color as a football, and footballs are brown. The kid will immediately realize he's been misled. Our problem is that we don't have any RNC driven candidates telling the masses that the basketball is brown.
Failing this, why should we be surprised folks think the basketball is green?
We need a party that is on our side.
Have you ever heard the RNC push for balanced university campuses? Do you think the Left would allow us to control college campuses 90/10%? No, I'm sure you don't. So why is it that the RNC hasn't mentioned it 'EVER'?
That's what we're facing on issue after issue.
I appreciate the nice comments. Take care.
