Intel Chief Executive and San Francisco native Paul Otellini is not happy with the direction of his home state and worries that it could go the way of Greece.

Talk about inheriting a disaster. Why would Campbell or anyone in their right mind even think for one second about running for Governor.
He's agitated to import more and more Third Worlders for cheap wages.
They're the ones guzzling the cash in the form of overcrowded schools (The Teachers Union loves it cuz itz more bizness for them), welfare usage (ads in China: "Retire to California! Stupid Americans give you retirement money!"), solid Democratic party votes, etc etc.
Spare me the crocodile tears Paul. You voted for it.
First step in solving the problem is to admit you have a problem.
By electing Brown, they not only denied there is a problem but are actively sticking their fingers in their ears and saying, “LALALALA, I CAN’T HEAR YOU” whenever the subject is raised.
I used to work for Intel—in Arizona. I didn’t know that they haven’t added a job in California in 10-12 years, but I’m not surprised considering how much more of a salary they would have to pay them there. I can’t imagine anyone who has kids would want to stay in their Santa Clara location when real estate has always been significantly cheaper near their Chandler, Arizona facilities.
To be fair, US schools aren’t turning out the number or quality of engineers and PHD’s companies like Intel need to stay ahead of the foreign competition.
13 years ago CA was the envy of every state. Now it is on the verge of becoming Greece. Imagine what it will look like in 10 years should its trajectory continue!
And what Presidential candidate will win CA with 60+% of the vote? You reap what you sow.
I’ll be the majority of his donations and votes go to Dems.
We’re already way past Greece. More like Rome in the Dark Ages.
I live in California.
A closer analogy would be that it’s going the way of Mexico.
Where you work is dependent on your employer's owners. They get to decide.
In CA, superior weather, you don't have to stay indoors for months at a time. Also the water is better than Colorado river runoff.
Except in San Diego where the water is mostly from the Colorado. Lots of lettuce hormones and perchlorates added on the way through the Imperial Valley to San Diego. Extra yummy. If you drink the tap water, you really have a death wish. I lost 3 dogs to stomach cancer over the years in San Diego.
Spare me the crocodile tears Paul. You voted for it.
There is nothing in the article to indicate he "voted for it." Nor is there anything in the article to suggest that his company uses imported "Third Worlders."
Please point me to some links to support what you've asserted.
Only because people like Otellini won't hire their graduates.
I'm sitting a few miles from the guy. Been here for a few decades, seen the whole damn thing happen, lived it/breathed it/have been shocked by it.
Provide you proof? Of what? Your own ignorance of what's happening out here in the real world?
Gimme a break, Chester.
Cali hasn't been the envy of any state for a very long time now. I know. I'm from there.
Nope. They do still hire the competent ones, all they can get, actually.
The problem is that schools are churning out liberal arts degrees and not enough technical degrees. Further the quality they have offered has distinctly declined.
