If you saw the debate and didn't think it was "that bad" then we saw a different debate.

I instant messages some friends to ask what they thought - not telling them what I thought and heard such things as "Mitt cleanen his clock," "Obama looked terrible," "bored," stunned," and "out-of-touch." Those are just a few.

Half of 0bammers’ support comes from people who want to associate themselves with “brilliant” people to make themselves feel just as brilliant.

He was exposed as having the less-than-average IQ that he has.

I watched the debate twice and saw two very different debates. The first viewing, live, found me in a public venue with a raucous and partisan crowd. I came out thinking the duel a draw.

Then I watched the replay on YouTube in the privacy of my own place and saw something very, very different, on the order of the bloodbath that wrung from Joe Klein the question of Obama's ability to communicate effectively enough to be the president.

I drew an important personal lesson about the impact of groupthink.
