Mitt Romney brought his campaign for the White House back to life today with a surprise victory over Barack Obama in their first live TV debate. His spirited, pugnacious performance was seen to have earned a clear win over the President, who appeared listless, disengaged and lacking in any killer lines. The 90-minute debate, watched by 60 million people, had an immediate impact on betting, with bookmakers slashing the odds on a Romney win from 5/1 to 11/4 in hours. The rival camps will now be waiting tensely to see if the opinion polls also shift.

The foreign press was following the meme that Obama had this in the bag easily.

The German Press, Der Spiegel, as well as a Japanese cartoon, think otherwise about Obama.
The Brits for the most part, appear to have become a nation of gutless liberal capons much like the Swedes.

You mean Americans. As in “Americans have become a nation of gutless liberal capons”.
Case in point. Britons don’t erect monuments to Islam at terror sites. That’s an American thing.
It wasn’t Britons who built the ‘Crescent of Embrace’ - not to mention the scale model of the Q’aaba at Ground Zero. It was Americans.

At least we can still criticize Muslims and Islam without landing in the slammer, can own firearms, and haven’t stripped Christian religious symbols from private buildings.
Not do we tolerate gangs of Muzzsies roaming around gang-raping Christian and Jewish women.
But I feel your pain, we have more than our share of gutless liberal capons here as recent polls for President indicate. And we have a alarming growing number of Muslims and gutless politicians willnig to pander to them.
What happened to the kind of guys who fought at Hastings, Waterloo, Omdurman, Stanford Bridge, etc?
