Maybe you did not understand but Romney made it clear that it is up to the states not for the federal government to deal with healthcare. It’s called federalism , it’s called limiting the federal government as the founders intended and for the states to be labs.
The constitution limits the federal government and grants most powers to the states. Romney showed he is for limiting the federal government , repealing Obamacare, reducing regulations,privatizing medicare. Get it back into the states. do you understand that constitutional principle? Statist socialism is statist socialism, whether done on a national scale, or piecemeal, state by state.
And while he occasionally pays lip service to federalism, he defends practically every unconstitutional, anti-tenth amendment federal program, including and especially the centerpieces of the New Deal and the Great Society. He is a reliable defender of big government social tinkering across a wide variety of areas not covered by the Enumerated Powers.
He doesn’t oppose big government or socialism. He simply thinks he can do it better than Obama. Which is probably true.
