I had to read the entire article to figure out they were talking about the White House Press Corps, specifically.
Otherwise, they would've needed a whole chartered fleet of buses.
The altitude must have gotten to them.

Does the “moment of baffled silence” imply that the press traveling with Zero are in the tank for him? Freudian slip, maybe?
