Ward billed the government for a refueling stop overnight in Bermuda, where the couple stayed in a $750 suite. Ward and his wife, accepted dinner and Broadway show tickets from a government contractor billing for lengthy stays at lavish hotels for Ward, his wife and his staff members, at the (NY) Waldorf Astoria hotel. Ward used five-vehicle motorcades when he to shuttle his wife on Washington area shopping trips and spas.

How is this any different from what Barack and Michelle have done for 4 years? Change the names and the press would yawn.

I’d actually give him a pass on the Bermuda stop. The only reason the military base there exists is so that generals can fly their Lear-type jets in to make overnight “fuel stops” combined with “crew rest”, get in a round of golf, eat dinner and sleep in a suite at the Ritz, and slurp $2 cocktails at the Officers’ Club. Pretty hard to nail this guy on something that’s been common-practice among generals for literally decades. It should’ve been BRAC’d before BRAC was even thought of.

I like the 5-car motorcades. Who is this whack, Idi Amin?

I heard that this guy got his wife on all his trips by inventing a fictional employee (a “Captain Tuttle”, for those of you who watched M*A*S*H when it was still watchable) and having his wife travel on those travel orders. Don’t know if that’s really true but I seem to remember reading it somewhere.
