The Obama administration has added 10,000 civilian workers to the federal government’s payroll since July, according to BLS. In that month, the federal government employed 2,804,000 civilian workers. In August, that increased to 2,810,000. And, in September, the number of civilian federal employees increased again to 2,814,000

Now we know why Obama had that bemused smirk on his face. BLS always gives the adminimstration a heads up on the numbers. Obama knew this information the night of the debate. He thinks it will insulate him from the poor economy and high unemployment criticism and guarantee his reelection.

These people have “0” credibility when they keep “revising” prior months every month, come next month and December, you will see this FAKE number revised yet again to a lower number. This entire administration and government are running on solely on LIES!!! What a crime!

We all joked this would happen but who knew they'd be so brazen as to actually do it ?
At the very end, this is interesting:
Still, many of the jobs the economy added last month were part time. The number of people with part-time jobs who wanted full-time work rose 7.5 percent to 8.6 million.
I am one of those.
I didn't notice mention of the labor participation rate.

So, 873,000 people just suddenly vanish from the count of unemployed?!?!?
Here's a peculiar statistical aberration:
Household Survey people employed: +873,000 (source)
Part-time jobs for economic reasons: +582,000 (source)
-> 582,000 divided by 873,000 = 0.666666666666*
Aka: precisely two thirds. Whatever are the odds...

Okaaaaaaaaay.
I get it now.....
This is the BLS's October SURPRISE!!!!!
Had they published those results on April 1, we would have known then, too, that the numbers were fudged, faked, manipulated, massaged, and they were the BLS's WAG.

According to the Dept. of Labor 873,000 more people are employed than from the previous month! There is no way almost 1 million jobs were created in just 4 weeks!

This is the biggest lie! Obama must think we are stupid! How many companies did Obama beg not to lay off until after the election? 3
that we know of... How many people did the government hire last month to make this number? ALOT. Obama did this because no president has ever been elected with unemployment over 8%. DON’T BE FOOLED! WE ALL KNOW WHAT THE LAST 4 YEARS HAVE BEEN LIKE!
To: Oldeconomybuyer
This juicing of the numbers verges on the criminal but this also should cause everyone to question the validity of the statistics OVER THE LAST FOUR YEARS.
My guess is they were and are just as dismal as the carter years.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics has been lying for the regime since day one.

The rate fell because more people found work, a trend that could impact the presidential election.

7.8% - or - really 11% plus?
Figures lie & Liars figure
Many of these alleged “new jobs” are only part time and/or temporary -
I see Obama has his thugs out calling Mitt Romney a liar on TV now after his lousy debate perfomance in Denver - I guess Obama wil start blaming John Elway of the Denver Broncos and even Johnson of the New York Jets for endorsing Romney.
The real unemployment pecentage (non-farm) is 11% now - including farm workers it is now 17%
They cheated down the unemployed numbers by instantly taking off all those that have given up even looking for work by advertising on TV to double everyone on food stamps and putting many millions more on permanent Social Security Disabled status by loosening up the requirements
- Obama also has already knocked down fulltime hours to 30 hours a week so employers must give them Obamacare and pay huge premiums -
- What will Obama do when small business employers cut all part time workers down to only 25 hours a week?

I used to wonder what it would be like to live in the former USSR. Now I know what it is like to live under a gangster government with a lying press. There is no way in hell these numbers are correct. And there is no one in the lying US press that while challenge this administration on it fraudulent unemployment numbers. Welcome to the USSA comrades.

U.S. payrolls, obtained in a separate survey of employers, increased by a seasonally adjusted 114,000 jobs last month, the Labor Department said Friday. Economists surveyed by Dow Jones Newswires expected a gain of 118,000 in payrolls and an 8.1% jobless rate........................................................................ So, a gain of 118,000 would have resulted in an 8.1% rate but a gain of 114,000 resulted in a 7.8% rate? How do fewer jobs actually result in a lower unemployment rate?

114,000 jobs in 30 days equals 3,800 jobs per day. 3,800 jobs divided by 50 states equals an average of 76 new jobs per state, per day.
Approximate average number of new college grads per year: 1,750,000, or 4,794 per day, or 95 per state, per day. That doesn’t include all the unemployed dropping off the rolls, who are also competing for these 76 new jobs per day...
