Despite Trailing, Romney and Ryan Hit New Hampshire

In New Hampshire, the critical swing state where Mitt Romney first launched his general election campaign, the former governor is trailing the president by six points, according to RealClearPolitics.com.

Obama won the state of New Hampshire in 2008 by nine points, with 54 percent of the vote to McCain’s 45 percent. The latest polls show him with a comfortable lead in this election as well.

Former New Hampshire governor and Romney adviser John Sununu, however, criticized one survey in particular conducted by WMUR/University of New Hampshire, which shows Obama ahead by 15 points, referring to it as a “piece of garbage.” Sununu dismissed the poll and insisted Romney will win the state with a two to three point lead.

This Saturday, vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan reached out to voters during a campaign stop in Derry, N.H. He stated that with he and Romney in the White House, they could “live free and prosper,” putting a spin on the state’s “Live Free or Die” motto. He is focusing on voters who supported Obama in 2008 but are now questioning their choice. The rally marked Ryan’s second stop in New Hampshire in the past two weeks.

Candidates only go where their internal polling tells them they have a shot.

I really can’t take a “poll” taken by a “university” very seriously. We know where those idiots are coming from. It’s All Barry All Of The Time.

Yes, Barry won by almost 10%...

...but it all depends on how much hopium is left in the tank.

Bush won it in 2000, amazingly enough.

And Romney is from ‘around there’.

I can’t believe what has happened to NH. Once upon a time, it was solidly Republican. The influx of Lefties and refugees has turned the state into Massachusetts in many ways.

As I recall, NH instituted same day registration and voting and Hillary and Sydney Blumenthal bussed in NY, saying that they were moving to NH to vote on election day, and then Blumenthal got arrested for a DUI and we never heard from him again.

He didn’t win it last time, McCain lost.

Unless NH can get college students to vote, he has no other audience to pander so I don’t think he can win the state again. I lived there three years and I didn’t see enough black people to count on one hand so he needs to hit up the single mothers and promise them more free stuff, which will never fly in NH.

Sununu has been fantastic - told Andrea Mitchell to shove it yesterday.

Romney Super Pac should spend some money in Calif markets over gasoline; in Pittsburgh over coal and energy; Philadelphia over jobs and slow growth.

Move the needle, force Obama to react, and DRAIN OBAMA DRY.

Do it! WTH are we waiting on. Obama’s burn rate is going to get exhausted soon.

I agree 150%. Here in Wisconsin the Marquette University poll continues to say obozo is ahead by a LOT! I totally disagree. This is the state that in 2010, went totally RED, we elected Gov. Scott Walker 2 x in 18 months with that obnoxious and extremely annoying and costly (I'm not bitter), 2nd time by about 6% higher than the first time. Now Marquette University in it's infinite wisdom, continues to say that Obozo is winning by about 4 - 5 points. I just hope and pray that this is bogus, just like the 7.8% unemployment numbers released today.

This next 30 days will be so Chicago it will make our skin crawl more than it has in the last 3 1/2 years. Keep the faith folks. Romney/Ryan - get everyone you know out to vote.
