While we are told to assume it is entirely transitory and speculation-driven, the price to drive your brand new GM Truck (leased for 30 years, interest-only via your EBT card) has never been higher. Do not worry though since this is only temporarily going to mean 'little Timmy' needs to go without food. As a Public Service Announcement, we have also estimated that the opportunity cost of every additional $1/gallon is just 16-20 $0.99 iGizmo apps you can do without for a week (but given sentiment surveys it would seem you do not need any further sedation).

$100,000/yr. salary is lower middle-class for a single guy out here. I just bought a new Ford F150 with a 36 gal. fuel tank...I’m gonna have to take out a loan to fill it.

Heard on the radio today (San Diego County) we were at an average of 4.59 and the record was 4.69. Should pass that this weekend.

to other countries?
Also if their is such a crisis why can’t CARB waive the requirement for the Winter blend?
If this get you motivated ride a bike.
It’s officially $5 a gallon for premium here in OC, CA. My big ol’ F-250 crew cab with the 460 V8 is making me really unhappy when I have to fill up both tanks.

Obama and Hillary should recommend the sure fire Democrat cure-all—a tax hike on gas. Remember when they both recommended that as the solution for the 2008 gas price hike? Higher taxes cures everything, don’t you know.
