Oddly enough - this may actually HURT Obama. At a school in my area, as I walked through the hall, a student walked toward friends and complained, “Michelle Obama has ruined it for everybody - there is nothing good to eat in the cafeteria anymore!”
This administration is micro-managing the population in so many ways that they may find they have lost “splinter groups” which, in a close election can make a difference.
They probably understand that they might lose elections because of this nanny state stuff, but they can’t help it. It’s stronger than them. You see, they are so sure they know better, it’s against their principles to even slow down. God help us from the perfect utopians. History is littered with dead bodies due to them (example - Mao’s preferred agricultural methods that caused millions to starve).
