“Why kill it????”
You are joking I hope. It was 2 blocks from an elementary school and 4 blocks from a middle school.
Some non thinking folks here thought they should have tranquilized it. They didn't stop to think about what if that had failed, and the cat had escaped in a dense residential area with kids all around.
There was a reason our ancestors got rid of these things.

(Encourage all of your Democrat friends to get out and vote on November 7th, the stakes are high.)

Yep. I don’t want ‘em anywhere near me or my kids.
If I did I’d move out west.

How can there be mountain lions in Iowa when there are no mountains there?Would you prefer that they called it a puma, a panther, or a cougar?

I just remember it as being pretty flat when I lived there. That was a long time ago--I guess global warming has caused the landscape to buckle since then.
The highest point in the state is 1670 ft above sea level and the lowest point is 480 ft. So it is less flat than Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, Delaware, or Rhode Island.
