Something tells me the “Republicans want to kill Big Bird” playbook isn't gonna work out the way it did for the Dems the last time they tried it.
They still had control of most of the media narrative back when the class of’94 tried to defund CPB.

Big Bird: the $ 8 Million Welfare Pimp
It ain't so much that they care about the Sesame Street programing as much as they care about the liberal indoctrination hidden in the programing.

Robert Gibbs wants America living on the fantasy world of the Unicorn Farm. If we allow America to go down the tubes into Marxist Socialism, there will be more lost than just Big Bird.

Fantastic line of attack, Gibbs! Next debate you should send Obama out in a Big Bird costume to further underscore this atrocity and to show support for the bird. Perhaps the dancing vaginas could be back-up and do amazing things on hard wood?

Robert Gibbs said this morning that an actor showed up to the debate. He said Mitt Romney did everything but tap dance. “That was not the real Mitt Romney.”
Translation: Are you going to believe what we tell you about Mitt Romney or your own lying eyes?

My grandson hasn’t had the least bit interest in Big Bird any more than I did in any red headed manaquin from the 50’s. He can’t stand Barney either. Sesame Street is OVER.

They're going to be throwing the word lie so much a Gov. Romney that an outside observer would think these are people hawking
potassium hydroxide.

Our son was reading at the 3 grade level when he went to kindergarten.
We read to him a lot and he eventually read to us.
He also watched sesame street a lot. Don’t know which had a higher percentage of influence, but I never thought the rote learning on sesame street was doing any harm.
This was late 60s and early 70s. Don’t know how PC they are now.
Yes, I support no tax funding for PBS or NPR or arts for that matter.

I think most Americans are a tad upset about the deficit. But Romney would get more traction if he was talking about the massive shake down of the US Treasury that is corporate welfare and foreign jihadist aid. Why are we building Mosques around the world? Obammy tossing 90 billion to his corporate pals in “alternative energy” is called “corporate welfare.” Americans know that term and hate it. They hate foreign aid too.

"Robert Gibbs slammed Mitt Romney's "theatrical" presidential debate performance this morning on "This Week" for what he said was the GOP presidential nominee's lack of detail, calling his performance "dishonest"..."
Sorry, Gibbs. Mitt knocked your man out fair and square.

“accuse others of what you are doing yourself”
Obama’s people do this on a daily basis; it has become almost laughable, if it were funny. - It’s how they get by with the horrible stuff they do; because people tend to think, “They’re condemning this sort of stuff; no way they’d be guilty of the same thing!” - People tend to think everybody is like they are, generally honest and decent. These people seem to think they’ll never have to answer for a thing they’ve done.
