OBAMA MAGICALLY LOWERS UNEMPLOYMENT BY ELIMINATING WORKFARE

Chriss Street Oct. 7, 2012

All great magicians employ misdirection in creating miraculous illusions, leaving their audiences stunned and confused. President “Houdini’s” miraculous creation of 873,000 jobs in the month of September drove down the national unemployment rate from 8.1% to 7.8%, just as absentee voting begins. The trick left Republicans and economists equally befuddled, since the last time a similar monthly jobs increase appeared was June of 1983 when the economy was growing at an astronomical 9.3% annual rate. But looking behind Barack the Great’s smoke and mirrors reveals that the President’s highly controversial July suspension of the “workfare” requirements that welfare recipients must actually work to be counted as employed seems to have dramatically reduced the U.S. Labor Department’s unemployment rate.

I've heard other explanations for the glorious reduction in unemployment but this one knocks it out of the park for me.

There is so much wrong with the Labor Department numbers. But chew on this: the deviation between the household survey and non farm payroll is the BIGGEST SINCE OBAMA WAS ELECTED! And household survey showed employment gains at the highest level since Obama was elected!!! But NFP remains low and slow.

Look at the chart:

Another good war should get another 6 or 7 hundred thousand out of the way too.

If removing this requirement is true (I am not doubting that at all) this needs to be shouted from rooftops:

” welfare recipients must actually work to be counted as employed “

Has ended?

Just saw Ben Stein on Fox. He said the numbers are not cooked. I don’t believe him.

I am impressed with this man’s take on economics and foreign policy developments. I’m saving his link. Thanks.

Who are people going to believe? Obama or their own lying, unemployed eyes?

When the administration claimed that the recovery had begun, I remember an interview with an employee of the Unemployment Office who was asked by a reporter if the recovery had begun to be felt in the unemployment line. She almost did a spit take and asked “Does this room look empty to you?” She barely restrained herself from saying it was getting worse every day - she garbled an answer and then said emphatically, “No”.

So I am wondering if those of his fans who Obama hoped to fool and whose family members and friends experience increasing layoffs will be provoked to anger against The Won they worship. Will they do a spit take at these employment numbers or will they sleep better ‘knowing’ it’s all getting better and all the unemployed or underemployed friends/family will soon get jobs....

Pretty sharp cookie to say the least. Economics Professor at UC Dominquez Hills, CEO of several Fortune 500 companies, former Treasurer of Orange County, CA, advisor to high profile political figures.

You can "watch" his radio show Monday through Friday from 7 to 10 PM Pacific Time at edtalkradio.com and click on the "MYSYTV Live Streaming" button.

If you happen to get a football game or something like that, go to the right side of the screen and click on the "KMYC Live" button.

If you want to watch archived shows, go to the "KMYC Archives" link and click on the "Inside Education" links.

His co-host, Paul Preston, has 40 years experience in education to go along with his own extensive contacts in economics, science, politics, etc.
