Needless to say, sh*t happens.

Venezuela will continue to go downhill with Chavez alive or quite possibly dead in the coming months and years.

Another sad story like Zimbabwe.

When big government tyrants like Chavez and other strong man socialists get power, all "elections" become a joke. You really don't have a clue what the sham "vote" really is for one of their show elections. It really would be interested to find out the ACTUAL vote tally.

Is he keeping enough of his parasite base that gets free sh!t happy to stay in power, or is his highly corrupt government just making up election results to mask an actual loss by a populace that has serious remorse about ever putting a tyrant into power? With tyrannical "socialists" - once they get power you just never know anymore.

Democrats will try to steal the election here in the U.S.A in a few weeks, the same thing here. We have to be vigilant.

I wonder why the GOP does not mention 0b0z0’s love of Chavez and ask what has been done in regards to recovering private US oil industry company assets that were taken through Venezuelan seizure and government takeover?

It seems these days tyrants stay in power by holding *elections* - which they *win.*

I guess they think that makes them *look good.*

Our vote is to be counted in Spain, courtesy of Soros. How can we lose.

People wanting to ‘ride the midnight horse’ and do a patriot thing should get involved with the voting process. In their local area. It starts there.

Remember that Romney won Iowa - NOT. After he had a nice time basking in his win - a local patriot entered the picture to point out - the vote had not been counted right.

Guess who then actually won Iowa, after they did recheck the votes - Rick Santorem.

Eighty percent turnout, that’s amazing. We should do half as well. Any word on his cancer?

He, probably, doesn’t have much longer to live, anyways, and a new election will end up taking place, soon.

I'm sure Obama is happy as I'm sure are his comrades at DU and Daily Kos.

Snips from this Fox article:

The state governor who lost Sunday's presidential vote, Henrique Capriles, had accused the flamboyant incumbent of unfairly leveraging to his advantage Venezuela's oil wealth as well as his near total control of state institutions.

Snip

Nevertheless, the populace endorsed once again Chavez's stated aim of converting Venezuela into a socialist state.

Snip

Capriles had vowed to seriously address violent crime that has spun out of control, streamline a patronage-bloated bureaucracy and end rampant corruption, but his promises proved inadequate against Chavez's charisma, well-oiled political machine and legacy of putting Venezuela's poor first with generous social welfare programs.

Substitute Obama in for Chavez the day after our election (if he wins).

Snip

Chavez will now have a freer hand to push for an even bigger state role in the economy, as he pledged during the campaign, and to continue populist programs. He's also likely to further limit dissent and deepen friendships with U.S. rivals.

A Capriles victory would have brought a radical foreign policy shift including a halt to preferential oil deals with allies such as Cuba, along with a loosening of state economic controls and an increase in private investment.

Snip

"The revolution will continue, thanks to God and the people of this great country," said Gonzalez.

See if you are running around celebrating when the full socialist/communist takeover is complete.

Voter turnout was an impressive 81 percent, compared to 75 percent in 2006. Chavez paid close attention to his military-like get-out-the-vote organization at the grass roots, stressing its importance at campaign rallies. The opposition said he unfairly plowed millions in state funds into the effort.

Sounds like Obama and libs signing up voters to vote for Democrats.

One pro-Chavez voter, private bodyguard Carlos Julio Silva, said that whatever his faults, Chavez deserved to win for spreading the nation's oil wealth to the poor with free medical care, public housing and other government programs. The country has the world's largest proven oil reserves.

"There is corruption, there's plenty of bureaucracy, but the people have never had a leader who cared about this country," Silva said after voting for Chavez in the Caracas slum of Petare.

Woohoo! Free stuff! Caring = Free Stuff! Who cares if the quality is subpar?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-15156772

Chavez's critics accused the president of inflaming divisions by labeling his opponents "fascists," `'Yankees" and "neo-Nazis," and it's likely hard for many of his opponents to stomach another six years of the loquacious and conflictive leader.

Ah, good ole' liberal tolerance. It will only get worse the more control he gets.
