Mitt Romney in a major speech Monday will call for a change of course in U.S. foreign policy -- saying the recent, deadly attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya is part of a “profound upheaval” and that “hope is not a strategy.”
The speech will mark one of Romney’s final opportunities before Election Day to show his potential as a world leader -- amid political turmoil in the Middle East.
“The attacks on America last month should not be seen as random acts. They are expressions of a larger struggle that is playing out across the broader Middle East -- a region that is now in the midst of the most profound upheaval in a century,” Romney will say, according to speech excerpts provided by the Republican presidential nominee’s campaign.
“I know the president hopes for a safer, freer, and a more prosperous Middle East allied with the United States. I share this hope,” Romney continues. “But hope is not a strategy. We cannot support our friends and defeat our enemies in the Middle East when our words are not backed up by deeds.”
Romney is set to speak at Virginia Military Institute at 11:20 a.m. ET.

The libs will call Romney a warmonger for wanting to take a stronger stance in the ME. They will say he’s just like GWB, yada yada yada, and that Chris Stevens death was caused by a islamic hate video.
In fact, the comment section at the link to the yahoo story has about 400 dozen helmet wearing retards basically saying Romney will take us to war with Iran, calling his sons worthless, none of his family have served in war. We should leave the ME to burn, abandon Israel, etc.
Oh how these people will regret their words if we are on the same route within 10-20 years, and Islam isn’t minimized. If these people are still alive, that is.
Will the media finally ask Romney tough questions about why he ignored intel that could have prevented the death of four Americans. As well as why did he insist murder of four Americans was because of a film that mocked the Profet Obama, I mean Mohammad?

I hope Mitt say’s his piece, then pivoits to jobs. The Fed printed 2 trillion in new money. Where is it? It’s not out amoung middle Americans. They are in a cash starved environment just like last year, and the year before. And the higher gas prices are using a vast majority of the discretionary cash in the system at the mid income levels.
