October 7, 2012 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- Republican vice-presidential candidate Paul Ryan came to the Chicago area for a big fundraiser, and protesting Democrats were waiting for him.
His motorcade arrived at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare.
The top price was nearly $76,000 per person.
Outside, Democrats demonstrated against the Republican agenda and Big Bird joined them to protest Mitt Romney's plan to end the federal subsidy for the Public Broadcasting System.
They were upset about his Medicare plans, but Republicans say they're on a roll after the first Presidential debate.
"The Romney-Ryan voucher plan would leave seniors at the mercy of health care insurance companies," said Katie Jordan of the National Alliance of Retired Americans.

There is no "Romney-Ryan voucher plan" and the plan they do have has no effect on current seniors - it is designed to increase and maintain benefits while costing taxpayers less money without simply denying people care to save money and then in turn making it illegal to pay for it yourself like Obamacare does...and Obamacare leaves seniors to the mercy of an unelected board of bureaucrats designed to save money by denying them care. Fines are now being issued to hospitals if they readmit a patient within 30 days. Does this Katie Jordan support that?

Explain how one “Patricia de Stacy Harrison”, CEO of a multi-billion dollar media empire makes millions in salary and bonus package and will make millions in her retirement package. Oh, and has a near-million dollar buy-out package (golden parachute) waiting for her if she leaves prior to retirement.

Maybe we can locate someone with a flea ranch so they can dump a bunch of fleas on these big bird types, in addition to the ones they probably already have. If not fleas, lice work well too or even better chiggers! Love to see the bird doing the swim out there on the street.
I have always thought of Sesame St. as creepy and the absolute WRONG way to teach kids anything.
I raised 6 kids without Sesame Street. I have always thought it contributed to the ADD problem. It goes from one thing to another to another without let up leaving no time to reflect, absorb etc.... Just my personal opinion.

I HOPE our team finds a good way to stop these silly gigs...even if we have to hire our own Big Bird to come to the stage.
It is a real shame when people get attached to assistance programs. It makes them or those who benefit from providing a service search how to remain on a program totally funded by those working and doing more or less the right thing while they tend towards evil. I see sadly that it also causes one to not forgive a relative for a small wrong and show independence and hurt by letting a goverhment worker take care of their baby, not grandma. If we loose forgiveness and love for those in our family we’ll loose it for those we work with and live around.
