Romney: +2.0
Romney held a 2 point lead over Obama among likely voters in the first day of our presidential tracking poll as both men and independents solidly supported the GOP candidate. A key swing group making up nearly a third of voters, independents favor Romney over Obama 52%-34%. In 2008, Obama had a 52% to 44% edge among independents. Romney also has a 54% to 38% advantage among men voters, a group Obama won by one percentage point in 2008. Intensity among Romney voters has also strengthened: 70% of Romney voters now support him strongly, vs. 62% in September and 46% in August.

Best case scenario:
Romney/Ryan win; GOP holds House majority; GOP wins Senate, but well short of 60 seat majority.
Outcome: Senate Democrats CAN and will block much of what GOP would hope to accomplish.
That is unless GOP changes Senate rules.
I love watching the NBC elections page social media section.
It updates daily with an analysis of what people are saying on Facebook and Twitter, and the thing is....Romney is ahead by several points in terms of people stating their vote preference. Also, and this has been consistent for a week to two weeks, the analyzed comments are 60-40 negative toward Obama, while Romney is fairly even.
This is I think a very interesting piece to the puzzle. What people are saying is very important.

As for urban myth stuff.....
Dems are LOVING to point out the 7-11 Poll of cups, which has Obama up big right now. The thing is, while that has been accurate in past races, it likely is not this year. If it’s right, Obama would even kill Romney in Texas. That’s not going to happen....That metric will likely fail to indicate enthusiasm this year.

The 7-11 cups are only medium at least at my 7-11. I assume most conservatives are smart enough to spend the extra dime to get a large, and therefore only Obummer’s fans are participating.
That is the voter fraud margin for Bammy. It’s really good news that Romney is ahead even given voter fraud accounted for.
