Bankrupt California
National Review ^ | 10/9/2012 | Victor Davis Hanson

thought of my fellow Californian Energy Secretary Steven Chu last week, when I paid $4.89 a gallon in Gilroy for regular gas — and had to wait in line to get it. The customers were in near revolt, but I wondered against what and whom. I mentioned to one exasperated motorist that there are estimated to be over 20 billion barrels of oil a few miles away, in newly found reserves off the California coast. He thought I was from Mars.

California may face the nation’s largest budget deficit at $16 billion. It may struggle with the nation’s second-highest unemployment rate at 10.6 percent. It will soon vote whether to levy the nation’s highest income and sales taxes, as if to encourage others to join the 2,000-plus high earners who are leaving the state each week. The new taxes will be our way of saying, “Good riddance.” And if California is home to one-third of the nation’s welfare recipients and the largest number of illegal aliens, it is nonetheless apparently happy and thus solidly for Obama, by a +24 percent margin in the latest Field poll. The unemployment rate in my hometown is 16 percent, the per capita income is $16,000 — and I haven’t seen a Romney sticker yet.

I make sure people are thinking of my fellow Californian Steven Chu when I tank-up, uh get a couple gallons...

I've been putting this sticker on gas pumps:

"Somehow we have to figure
out how to boost the price of
gasoline to the [$8-$10/gal]
levels in Europe." - Barack Obama's
Energy Secretary Steve Chu. Had enough yet???

I've sized mine to fit twelve to a sheet of easy to remove bumper sticker stock...

I will send a dozen stickers to anyone who FReepmails me their address.

I will send the Excel file to anyone who FReepmails me their email address, PROVIDED they promise to only use removable stock.

Right. All the people who voted for prop 187 voted for this.

The truth may be impossible to exact from the bs that is being propagated by people who like that the states are falling one by one into communism.

And Texas is as messed up as California.

California’s givernment is corrupt beyond belief because the people of California generally are corrupt beyond belief..

If they “weren’t” they would change it.. They don’t..
A big part of california’s citizens are not citizens..
They are insurgents.. foreign agents or traitors.. PROUDLY..

It is quite close to the time California MUST BE invaded..
Oregon and a big part of Washington State are not far off..

But first Washington D.C. must be re-taken or the left-coast is LOST..
Berkley, Calif and MAdison, Wis.. are indeed enemy Camps..

BUT the Democrat PArty is AMerica’s greatest enemy..
NOT, Russia, China, Al-Quida, Taliban or american main stream media..

To even be a democrat speaks of sedition...

Ring, ring, ring.

Hey! hedgetrimmer!

hosepipe has some additional words of advice for you. And...he’s as correct as I when it comes to California, the land of fruits and nuts and the land where the oranges suck back.

Yes.....I know Texas is called the land of steers and queers but we contain the queers in Austin. They are immigrants from California. ;-)

Speaking of cars.... I haven’t noticed a plethora of obama/biden bumper stickers this election here in SV. Hardly any at all. Not like 2008.
