In reality very few manufacturing jobs in the USA are union jobs. Private sector union participation rate is at 7 percent and declining. And that is split between service and manufacturing. The UAW is a red herring. Unions are dead. Which is a good thing. Most cars made in the USA are made with non union workers Toyota, Honda etc.

The real problem is public sector unions, and off shoring does nothing to "help" that....

...and the fleecing of the “public” through the misnamed collective bargaining in which the “public”/collective being fleeced, has virtually no input to the “bargain” which come out of the public pocket.
