A new poll from the Pew Center for Public Something-or-Another finally get's it right.

Obama's going to lose and it likely won't be close.

According to Fox News, liberals are up in arms about the Pew poll, which has Romney up 49-45 percent just few weeks before balloting starts in some states.

From Fox News

Something isn’t just rotten in Denmark. Try Washington, D.C., where liberal are going insane reacting to the latest Pew poll results that show Romney kicking election butt by 49-45.

The Daily Beast’s Andrew Sullivan freaked out about the math and the “12 point swing” that sent Romney from down by 8 points to up by 4. Sullivan asked: “Did Obama Just Throw The Entire Election Away?” That rant earned it front-page coverage on Drudge with the headline: “SULLIVAN: SOS OBAMA.”

I forget where, but I heard someone describe Obama’s debate performance as political malpractice.

45 is still at least a few points TOO HIGH.

Obama will not get over 42-43% of the popular vote MAXIMUM.

AND, it is very much inside the realm of possibility that he will not get 40% of the overall vote.

You are going to have to go back to Hoover 1932 to see an incumbent president get so little of the vote, and its not outside the realm of possibility that Obama may get a lower percentage that Hoover did in 1932.

This poll is a bit flawed because it has a GOP skew. That said, it is clear this race is tied with independents running to Romney with at least a 9 point margin or so right now...with some polls much higher.

I think the reason the pollsters jack up the percentage for dimoKKKRATS is that they take into account the “graveyard” vote.

If Mittens wins it had better be by at least 5%. The vote fraud will be off the charts.

Personally, I don’t give a darn if the lefties all riot afterwards. It’s coming one way or the other, may as well be sooner rather than later.

Do you remember Pee Wee Herman in Pee Wee’s Playhouse? He had these mirrors on his shoes and would play coy, sliding his foot side to side as he spoke to girls in skirts.

Folks these polls bounce all around. Let’s not focus excessively on one single poll. And Obama will probably be more focused (for him anyway) and, more importantly, aggressive in his remaining debates.

Exact same thing is happening in Phoenix. Cashiers are downright hostile to Obama.

The way I understand it is that people are asked at the start of the poll “at this time do you consider yourself a Republican, Democrat, or other”. They are not asking what you are registered as. I was polled in this way and that was the first question. I was never asked what I was registered as. So if the sample is now +2 it means 2% more people answered that they consider themselves now Republican than Democrat.

some polls may oversample Republicans now so they can adjust them after the next debate and make Obama look like a “comeback kid”.

band wagon effect.

The emptiness of Obama has been exposed, just once, for 90 minutes. It brought down the shiny, pre-chewed packaging the MSM has crafted for 5 years.

Epic.

....................

When you were a kid did you ever get a huge box for Christmas and inside was another box? and inside that was another box. and inside that was another box. and inside that was another box. Then you find out that this thing, which has been sitting under the tree for ages, was a decoy while your parents enjoy the show of you frantically trying to get to the bottom of it? All package and nothing inside?

Yep. Obama is just like that.

Strangely enough, I am starting to feel a 57-43 type vote coming up for Romney iff. Ryan and Romney both do at least adequately during the three remaining debates.

This due to so many starting to admit that they finally have lost their infatuation with 0bama, as well as their overblown expectations of him in ‘08, and the way that they put all their eggs in the one basket of making Romney/Ryan appear “not presidential” - and a full 70 Million plus witnessed that basket come crashing down.

Election Night, 11:55pm.

Somewhere, in the halls of Obama election HQ, staffers will be committing seppuku.

I’m just sayin...

I'm leaving for Hawaii on Friday morning but I can't find a pair of sandals anywhere in New England. It's October here and the weather has turned cold so all that summer stuff has come off the shelves.

Well, to be totally honest, I scheduled these two weeks in Hawaii because I remember October of 2008 - it was four weeks of a living hell. So six months ago, I told the wife that we ought to get to Hawaii for a couple of weeks to take our minds off of the election. I figured by now, Obama would be up 10 points in the polls and that we would need to get away.

Not that I ever thought that Obama would actually get re-elected, but I figured the MSM would have him up in the polls so as to discourage us normal people. I figured that the race would close and go Romney's way in the final 10 days and we'd be home for that as our plane lands back in Boston on October 27.

Now I'm kind of wishing we never booked that trip because I am having fun now that Romney is already moving ahead and gaining momentum. But that's OK, Hawaii is not going to bum me out that much. And I will have Wi-Fi in my hotel so that I can tune into the Free Republic whenever I am drying off from a swim at the beach.

So tomorrow night I get home from work and take off my socks and shoes for 17 days. I will still have a very good suntan on November 6th, when Obama goes down to massive defeat.

Has the party affiliaton ratio changed in the last week on all these polls?

Yes, but there's more to it than that. Obama's 2012 narrative was built upon the premise that Mitt Romney was a not very nice guy. Ok, that's an understatement ... the picture painted of Romney was of Ebenezer Scrooge dressed up in white sheets while carrying a bag full of children's allowance money in one hand and a burning cross in the other.

The result was a situation where people (at least until the conventions) preferred Romney on significant policy issues, but didn't like him very much. They did like Obama, but didn't like him policy-wise.

This meant that Obama's support was pretty soft. Even in the polls that wildly oversampled Dems, there were numbers indicating that a lot of Obama voters were still willing to change their minds.

So what happened? Well, with the first debate the Mitt Romney that Obama's been painting a picture of didn't show up. Instead a guy who knew his stuff AND was likeable, showed up. No Ebenezer Scrooge. No white sheets. No childrens' allowance money. And no burning cross.

At that point the Obama narrative collapsed in on itself. And it's going to be damn hard for Obama to recover because the way Romney won the first debate, and can win the next to, is to NOT be the guy Obama's been making him out to be. And anyone who thinks Romney is going to walk into the next debate wearing white sheets, carrying a bag full of childrens allowance money and a burning cross and then act like Ebenezer Scrooge by extension must believe that Obama owns a mind-control machine.

“Message In A Bottle” is one of my all-time favorite songs. However, should I find Obama’s birth certificate in a bottle, floating in the beaches of Hawaii, you can rest assured that I will take it to my hotel room and flush it down the toilet.
