BELLEFONTE, Pa. Jerry Sandusky wore bright red jail garb on Tuesday, looking like a quarterback in practice, untouchable and protected.
Except Sandusky was about to get hit, a 30- to 60-year sentence coming from Judge John Cleland here at the Centre County Courthouse stemming from 45 guilty counts of sexual molestation. It's enough, given Pennsylvania's parole guidelines, to keep the 68-year-old Sandusky confined to prison for life. [snip]
Sandusky dismissed everything presented, every shred of evidence, every emotional witness-stand session. Three of his former victims mustered the courage to come and address him directly, and he responded with a dismissive smirk as he sat hunched over the defense table. Another victim came to the hearing and had a statement read by McGettigan. [snip]

...you mean the Ruling Elite Class thinks they’re above it all?
You don’t say.
In my younger days when I sold bail bonds, I could always tell if the guy calling from the phone tank was charged with child molestation. He would talk so low, whispering, you could barely hear him. Sandusky’s in for rough ride.
I still think they should've been able to hang him, but now I'm conflicted as to whether I would like him to be quickly removed from the taxpayers' burden, or if he should enjoy a nice lengthy sentence in general pop.
As I was reading the article, the face, demeanor and evilness of Hannibal Lechter came to mind.
The author is correct: Sandusky attempted to violate these victims again, this time with words evincing a depraved intent to haunt his victims forever.
PA Ping!
If you want on/off the PA Ping List, please freepmail me. Thanks!
The word is EVIL.
Evil is real, it has many faces. Sandusky is one.
Now get the others involved in protecting him, including hs wife.
His family-and the University- should be financially destroyed and all proceeds given to the victims.
At the root of this man’s evil being protected was PC and the ‘god’ football that was more important than ANYTHING to too many.
This is still going on elsewhere and is still being covered up for the same reasons.
Most evil ultimately distills to a First Commandment issue.
Imho, better that he be in prison for the rest of his hideous life.
God knows what he Sandusky did.
No matter how much punishment Sandusky might experience in prison, he'll be in much better hands for that purpose once he's gone. I'd just as soon save the prison costs and send him on to Justice now.
