Why is a foreign national in charge of security at an American Embassy?I heard two excuses for this yesterday:
Libya would not give us permission to have our own armed security
They had hired locals for protection who were menial laborers who had not been paid in months except for a daily per diem by the embassy
And...The US didn't beef up security because they wanted it to appear as normal as possible as in not a serious threat.
