I was born in 64 so for the first 10 years of my life, that’s what I saw every day. I also have a vivid memory of the day Nixon resigned. The piano tuner was at our house and he was blind and asked me to turn up the TV so he could hear the news while he worked.

my daddy told me where I was born, he said he found me in a snowbank one cold and snowy January....thats all the answer he would give everytime I ask him.....I soon gave up. We didn’t in those days fill a kids head with sodomy, intercourse, fisting or oral sex....we were left to be innocent as a small child

First reason I stay out of Mickey D's? TV and the station doesn't matter. Worse is when they have their TV's on different stations. If you want to talk to someone forget it. You have to talk over the TV.

Second reason I stay out of Mickey D's. Their high pitched cooking alarms. It's annoying to have to listen to several "Hey it's done" alarms going off when trying to order.

Third reason I stay out of Mickey D's? Their food taste awful compared to what they served 25-30 years ago. Their PC prepared french fries are horrible.

Krystal has Mickey D's beat hands down IMO. Their cashiers are up front and there is a wall between them and the cooking area so you don't have to yell over the alarms. They bring your food to your table after you order. No TV. Their burgers still taste as good as they did 40 years ago when I was a teenager.

BTW Gee I wonder where Dave Thomas got the idea for the Wendy's square burger LOL When Dave worked as a teenager in Knoxville a Krystal or a similar local chain called Blue Circle was a block away from the up scale restaurant he worked at. Dave's idea was just made the patties bigger and put them on a round bun :>} Wendy's beats Mickey D in quality and other things I mentioned as well.

The bigger question is why anyone in their right mind would want to pay good money to eat the garbage that McD’s dishes out.

We had a DUFU edition about this same type of situation. My guess is the McDonald’s customer is a DUmmie.

We stopped cruising on Princess because they don’t, won’t, and refuse to. carry FNC on their CCTV, offering only CNN. This was after five at-sea days in a row, during which Cheney had the shooting accident. Just try to imagine the (dis)information everyone was forced to hear.

Couple of years back got a call to go to DNC HQ in DC and take a package to Philadelphia.
When I got there they told me that the package was late and I said I was in a hurry as Rush was on and I didn’t want to miss any of it.
In a few minutes, none other that B Boxer walked out and asked if I had a problem. I said yes, unless I was authorized waiting time I was leaving but maybe if you put Rush Limbaugh on I could waive the fee.
She got ticked.

Really surprised they ‘let’ me take the package - paranoia being what it is and all......

Another of my more or less ‘permanent’ pickups was from MCB Quantico usually picking up parts for shipments to whereever ‘Marine One’ was during the Clinton years....

You can tell no one ever ‘vetted’ me for that job, as if they knew my ‘true feelings’ for WJC probably wouldn’t have even let me in the gate (not USMC, but SS etc...) HA HA

That’s like a parent complaining about people using profanity in front of 2 and 3 year-old kids. What 2 or 3 year-old knows what any of those words mean? If kids that young have that kind of vocabulary then something is really wrong in those kids’ homes. %$@&#!

When Thing One and Thing Two were young we were walking behind a gaggle of middle-schoolers diligently involved in attempting to turn the surrounding air blue.

One of them turned around, saw me, made eye contact and said "Oops, sorry".

I smiled and thanked him.

They all immediately switched to a neutral topic...

You're certainly much more tolerant than I am. When I had to sit through 30 minutes of "The Spew", my blood pressure had risen to about 300 / 150.

The key is laughing out loud whenever they make a truly stupid statement...

I wonder if this guy’s parents had a problem explaining Bill Clinton’s BJs to him.

You may not show them DEBBIE DOES DALLAS but you sure as hell don’t let them watch Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, either. That would scar a kid far worse than a porn film.

Glen Beck’s TV station project. It has multiple news shows.
