A quick look at the Californbia data shows that (a) no September data has been posted for California and (b) based on past 12 years in California the September number should be 66,000 new unemployment claims suggesting that the magic number of 400,000 new claims may have been breeched. If one was a cynic, one might suspect the delay was not an accident.

I was unwilling to accept the conspiracy Jack Welch voiced last week about unemployment. I didn’t want to believe the left was that crude in their methods. This latest trick, counting only 49 states and leaving out California (with the no doubt huge impact of the petroleum price explosion), shows the left to be crude and desperate. Now everyone can see that.
