Only an idiot libtard would think and/or say such a thing. When it comes down to job security, cost of living, basic freedoms, national security... Who marries who and birth control don't even rate as background noise.

If everything in your life is so golden that all you have to worry about is some college flunky's birth control, or which groups some fast food company contributes to...well bravo for you. The vast majority of the rest of us have much more pressing concerns a heck of a lot closer to home.

I keep thinking what Cato the Elder observed where the average Roman cared more about the pebble in his shoe than the legions around the world. He cared about whether he had a job, enough to eat, taking care of his family, shelter and so on. I lean libertarian on a lot of things and many social issues, government should not be involved in while others are left up to the States. I have my own personal values, I just stick to the main issues of freedom and the ability to make it in life. I'm more concerned about job hunting in my life now as well as nursing my cat to health (she has kidney problems) and helping out Mom for example.

The porn industry, well, it has always existed, it is here and never going away, it even has been around in prehistoric times on cave walls. I don't buy any of their wares, that's the best way to deal with it if you are opposed to it, use the market forces of capitalism. The downside, there is always a demand for it. I don't really care who sleeps with whom as long as they are at or above the age of consent and they keep it private. I worry more about the economy, foreign policy and jobs, the rest is on the back burner, if we collapse, everything else is moot. We cannot ignore social issues 100% but we need to remember we need to worry about the basics first and make sure any rules we make do not infringe on freedom and we must remember that on many moral issues, there are others who see them differently.

The ubiquitous, vile filth that nowdays is two clicks away from any 10 year-old's eyes has "always existed"? Please. Show me a piece of media from any time prior to 1970 that shows thousands of images of men wallowing in each other's filth, or women jamming various objects into themselves that was easily accessible to your average 10 year-old and I might agree with you.

No, this cultural cesspit we find ourselves drowning in is something completely new and we as a society have shown ourselves ill-prepared to cope with it.
