Because I’m a chronic pessimist, I’ll predict that tonight’s debate will be a middling performance that won’t end up changing much. If Barack Obama can’t get his campaign back on track, then Joe Biden isn’t going to help him. I’m not certain that Paul Ryan has what it takes to deliver a truly outstanding performance a la Romney.
I hope I’m pleasantly surprised. I know that I won’t be disappointed.
Paul Ryan has two years experience being under constant fire for wanting to "throw Granny over the cliff." I don't think Biden has been asked a really significant question since I was in grade school. So, I know whom my money is on tonight.
