I disagree. West Point produces officers that suck, that are fine, and that are awesome—same as OCS and ROTC. OCS does it in a matter of a few months, and ROTC can do it in as little as two years. The problems listed in this article with the service academies don’t happen in ROTC. They will continue unabated b/c “it’s always been this way.” That’s not a good enough reason to continue with nonsense.
And a whole host of problems "happen" in ROTC that don't happen in the service academies.
The "problems" listed in this article are irrelevant. Honestly, every few years or so this faggoty civilian prof from the Boat School sh*ts out the same dredge to the same effect - nothing. You're just the latest to get sucked up into the fray. Check it out for yourself if you don't believe me.
Like it or not, the service academies are the soul of the officer corps for their respective services. It's older than you or me, and it'll outlive you, me, and this idiot prof.
