If they want me to hold my nose and vote for a CINO like Romney, they can bloody well support an actual conservative like Akin. Control of the senate is more important than their petty political crap.

jumping on the bandwagon is the favorite sport on Free Republic. Many never get off and ride into intellectual oblivionIndeed. I glt flamed a bit for pointing out that he was actually correct in what he was trying to say.

"Its interesting that he is, in some polls, leading and some hes just barely behind within the margin of error and theyve abandoned him, said Huckabee on Wednesday. Theyve got other Senate candidates that theyre pouring vast amounts of resources in that are far behind where Todd Akin is.
Huckabee pointed to recent revelations that Akins opponent, incumbent Claire McCaskill, personally benefitted through her husbands company from about $1 million in stimulus funds.
Akin voted against cash for clunkers; the Wall Street Bailout; the stimulus; voted to repeal Obamacare 30 times. Why is this even an issue with the GOP? the man has an excellent voting record.
Thanks for posting elephant!

There you go again. Huckabee has been to MO and garned the support of pastors and churches across the state. He has had Akin on his tv show which was free and great publicity. Just by virtue of this post..it is a campaign plus for Akin.

Think it is just the “preacher” in Huckabee as to his choice of words. I did not care for his use of the word either but thought maybe he was rallying the evangelicals.

Just by virtue of this post..it is a campaign plus for Akin. How much money has he raised for Akin? How much has he contributed from his PAC?

Huckabee was instrumental in hosting a huge online fundraiser for Akin. He helped Akin raise quite a sum..do your own homework on the amount. Huckabee and his wife have also come to MO as I told you earlier.

That was almost 2 months ago.. Why isn’t HuckPac sending anything? A “do as I say, not as I do” kind of thing?

It is an on going fundraiser on facebook. Why do YOU care? you don’t live in MO and I am not even sure if you live in America according to the Irish flag on your profile.
HuckPac is donating to several candidates including Akin

The Akin affair has certainly been an educational repeat of the Scwarzenegger-McClintock days.
The number of FReepers who will jettison a genuine conservative for an empty suit with an (R) after their name is surprising.

Exactly. When the shoe is on the other foot, no gaffe (by Romney) or insult to the base (by McCain) is too egregious that some toady won’t demand our loyalty for the good of the Partei anyway.
